If nnpc needs to pay for cost, it has to pass through due process. They cannot on their own decide to pay for anything anyhow. Money going out must be approved. The money is also from the fedral account but at least it passes through the government. Nnpc doesn't have the monopoly power to spend above the nass approved budget.

grossly, it means NNPC operated with a 55% net profit and that is very good. However, if we look at this figure like this then we are just dumb asses...
2 things need be done. First, .lets have a look further of another three years and see the amount Nnpc made and what was remitted.
secondly, lets take the OBJ years and see what NNPC made and what was remitted....the pattern will give us clear view of things..
now if the pattern is same...then no problem so much but if there are massive differences, then a further investigation will be required. Were there special projects and cost ..was the money embezzled? if so by whom?

Bros, NNPC spend from their revenue and refund the rest to the Federation Àccount. The Problem with the laws governing nnpc is that they didn't place any bench-mark nor specify the limit NNPC can go. For instance, ministers are restricted from approving contracts beyond a particular amount. That must go through the FEC. Back to NNPC, the law should have made them to propose and submit their budget to the NASS like other Agencies. But the law granted them so much power. This is not different from CBN. Unless you were a beneficiary of the whole thing, the earlier you realize that these are the same set of people that didn't allow you to have constant power supply, good jobs, security, good roads and what may have you, the earlier it will be to recognize that we deserve to know what actually happened, why we are in this sad situation, why we are not competing with the rest of the world.


And the worse part of it is this, these same set of people that bleed our resources dry are those you see in their fine cars, expensive houses and you begin to wonder, how did they get all these things? You wish you can have a good job so that you can take your ailing people a "better" medical attention, but alas, you can't, because you will never have such an opportunity, because they will never allow you to.

The truth is, these people do not worth the strength you use to defend them, they never really cared about you and your well being. Some of them are somewhere outside the country enjoying the wealth that could have been used to ensure you have a constant power supply or a good job that pays well or a well equipped school. They are not worth it, they didn't really care about you or your problem.
