The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has extended the deadline for the ongoing registration for the Bank Verification Number, BVN, to October 31, 2015. The exercise which was supposed to end today saw customers besieging banks as early as 7am in order to meet up with the deadline. The extension is meant to facilitate the smooth completion of the registration exercise. The customers had urged the CBN to extend the date, saying that the extension was necessary to enable them to complete their registrations.
