If your parents don't approve of a relationship, there probably has to be a reason why. In fact, it might even be a good reason. Maybe weighing the pros and cons of your relationship and really seeing if you are happy with the guy is a good option

If your mom is a sucker for flowers, tell him or her to buy some. If your dad is interested in baseball, tell your boyfriend or girlfriend to mention that he plays it.

7. Bring Him or Her Home More

With any luck, the more your parents see him or her , the more they'll like him or her. As long as your partner is respectful to them and treats you like a princess, there's no reason for them to think poorly of him or her. The whole problem could be solved by involving him or her more in your parents' lives

8. Brag about Him or her

Whenever you can, mention your boyfriend or girlfriend to your parents. Tell them about his or her promotion or about how he or she helped a stranger. Anything nice that he or she does, your parents should know about.

9. Compromise

What do your parents dislike about your boyfriend or girlfriend? If they don't like that he or she do make you come home too late, then make sure you always come home early. If they don't like the way he or she dresses, tell him or her to dress more conservatively the next time he or she invited over for dinner.

10. Avoid PDA

When your boyfriend or girlfriend comes over, tell him or her to avoid kissing you or even holding your hand. Some parents are uncomfortable seeing that. If you know your parents are worried about your sex life, then PDA should be avoided at all costs.

11. Explain What You Love about him or her

Your parents can't see what you love about your boyfriend or girlfriend, because they don't know him or her like you do. Sit down and explain all of his good traits to them. It may be awkward, but it will help to tell them about all of the romantic things he or she has done for you in the past
