I noticed that in this part of the world(I don't know of obodo oyibo) we cut the new babys hair after one year.

why do we practice that?
is it a culture?
does it have any effect on the baby?
what will happen if the babys hair is cut before one year.

nairaland I need answer

Not sure about other tribes. But the reason some leave the baby's hair till 1 year is so that cold doesn't enter the baby's head. It makes the head lose shape.

Though I cut my children's hair at 3months
