revolt:So zik wasn't Igbo? Do you know that as much as you think Lagos is yorubaland, the word oba is Bini and has Bini linkage? That's why there is no oba in the rest of yorubaland. Onitsha is an Igbo town pls, there wasn't an empire in the past called Igbo enclave, we never had one enclave but enclaves. 1 Like |

onyedikachukwue: I will try https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igbanke https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asaba,_Delta https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agbor https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anioma_people This links will give you an insight. Indeed the Aniomas have Bini influence in their culture maybe varying from 10% Bini 90% Igbo in Igbanke and Agbor to 2% Bini 98% Igbo in Asaba and Ibusa. The same way the Binis would also have Igbo influence in their culture but these influences have not been pointed out. Have I ever mentioned that some communities that are direct neighbors with Benin city speak Igboid Ika? Cc Cheruv ikechu1278 onenaira3 Afam4eva |
