How many people can this system move on a daily basis. Does its effectiveness justify its cost? I doubt it.

I can see a pessimist. Everything must start from somewhere. If Gov Wike can continue I think its gonna be good for rivers people wink

Monorail Rivers: Too expensive to abandon, but a conduit to syphon state funds if continued. The project will be commenced when oil price reaches $100-$130 per barrel.
Btw, the monorail on ground is not like it was shown in the video, why showing us pictures of white people in the video, we ain't children

So you see Nigeria as only Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa?, other tribes do not exist or are inconsequential..and you are clamouring for biafra.,thats the mentality you're using to start your biafra.

If you're in PH, save yourself the trouble of unnecessary conflict.

All the cities having wonderful rail system did not complete it at a go. This is a nice project. What Rivers needs now is for Wike to complete the project and possibly extend it more.

If each administration continues extending the project steadily, in the next 20yrs Port Harcourt will have a new look and it's traffic problems would have been reduced to an extent.

From 1999 till date is 16yrs. Assuming Odili took the bold step to start this project then, i'm sure Amaechi would have pushed it further and Port Harcourt would have been an envy to other places like Lagos and Abuja.

Good they were honest to state d distance covered is from UTC jxn to Azikiwe rd. This distance is within 10minutes trek, N50 (fifty naira) by taxi but Amaechi had spent 50billion naira on it. D idea of d monorail might not b totally bad but with d amount d govt claimed to be spending on it; d idea is wasteful n at best a conduit pipe to milk d state resources. 50billion naira can create a lot of good roads.

How many kilometers of track have been completed?
Re: Port Harcourt Mono Rail Test Run by engrjacuzzi: 10:45pm On Jul 17, 2015
all these are refurbished coaches. it's only in Nigeria govt will deceive its citizen and the people will celebrate them. how many kilometers of overhead bridge did he build? how many of the monorail did he acquire? is the rail inter state or intra state?
Ameachi should be jailed too
