In this situation, mobile technology provides the most convenient way to raise this money. You can use your mobile phone to donate N100. We have over 100m mobile lines in Nigeria. It has worked everywhere else, there is no reason it can't work here.
Quite frankly, we are surprised people still ask people to go to the bank to donate money. Paying your own money into the bank and withdrawing same is hassle enough. Most people who want to give don't even bother.
We want to use this as a test case. If it is successful, it can become the de facto way to raise money when situations like these arise.
