firstEVA: Boko Haram needs large numbers of ground troops or fighters to plunder a village. Tompolo needs just a handful of men with stingers to bring a billion dollars flow station to rubble....And I'm certain you don't know what a creek is beyond the ones you see in movies... Ask any Amphibious soldier that has been to the Delta 3 Likes 1 Share |

PROVACATEUR:The problem is that some set of Nigerians hardly travel out and they feel Nigeria ends in Ore and Lokoja. I can confidently tell U that d class of guys who were into cultism in ESUT Enugu and Ebonyi state university in d early 2000s can comfortably take on d Nigerian army and defeat them if minimally equipped then talk more of d fearless Niger Delta militants who have done it b4 and has a permanent edge over d army due to their knowledge of d creeks. The rag tag, malnourished Boko haram has already demystified the Nigerian army. 2 Likes |

firstEVA: broad day light dreaming and kidding too. Niger delta is the most dangerous place for this govt to toil with at this time. Wait a minute do u know why the war with isis is difficult to win? they lay hold of oil installations, facilities and monies to fight back. My worry is the way PMB is going about addressing some of these issues? Not all problems can be solved using force. Wait and see what will happen if the militant boys are starved for long of their monies. The dwindling oil revenue coupled with insurgency and other harsh economic realities may mean something else for the citizenry, d reasons Buhari need to be careful if possible seek good counsel from good heads if he begins to lack some brain powers to think it out. After all nobody knows them all. 1 Like |

dokyOloye: I'd like you to remind me of a still standing institution in Nigeria built with palm oil money. It is a shame we have let those great sources of income die irrespective. The desire for cocoa is still high, at least 2 African countries now sustian it as their main source of revenue, Malaysia came to Nigeria specifically to begin the cultivation of palm produce and the demand is extremely high with it being very important for Malaysian economy. Ground nuts are still very high in demand as content in products rabging from soap to processed food. These were three industries which before black gold came Nigeria was the undisputed main exporter. Now dead as a dodo in terms of export. Very sad |

chuna1985: What is the oppression please answer me, a political calculatiom where a SS'ner lost because he became insensitive to the people plight for 4 years, or the derivation formula where all oil producing states get a lot more and still state governors there do not do enough. See what kwankwaso did in kano, he built an express way which connects communities and can improve trade. How many times do we see pictures of dilapidated roads erroded away without government concern from SE and SS on NL here |

sweetgala: As far back as February 2013, Hausa, Yoruba n Muslims of Nigeria formed APC to unseat GEJ. it had nothing to do with sensitivity n all what not ur talking about. back to d topic, buhari has already ended everything about amnesty from pipeline security, to monthly stipends to even halting of school fees payments. Now he wants to use the funds for amnesty to go to boko haram who have been killing Nigerians senselessly to give dem amnesty n it sounds normal to u.. oppressors, Nigeria shall divide. |
Re: Why Buhari Must Handle Tompolo With Tact by sweetgala(m): 10:33am On Jul 25, 2015 |
chuna1985: Your error started with your first sentence, APC was birthed by all minority groups in Nigeria , it has constituents in all local governments in Nigeria. In 2010 hausa, Yoruba and everyone ensured Jonathan was not cheated out of right, Tinubu was campaigning to ensure Jonathan succeeded Yar'adua as president he enjoyed massive votes and won in areas with predominant Muslim population. In 2011 Jonathan had over 5million more Nigerian votes than Buhari. Jonathan woe began on the 1st January of 2012, the weeks after that I knew Jonathan would not succeed in coming back if ever a credible opponent presented himself/herself , I can remember vividly him saying "I don't care on NTA" and okupe reaffirmed it on twitter the next day, we all remember the Stella Oduah scandal, pardoning Alameiseya. Jonathan hung himself , he wis to blame for PDP failure this election gone. APGA were romanced but refused the offer, the current lack of SE and SS in APC leadership is due to those regions putting all their eggs in PDP , they don't vote individuals they vote parties something the northerners and SW have learnt to do, see how many northern representatives returned for PDP while APC won the states . And to finish it off, APC was birthed in the fall of 2012 and registered by 2013 , they were not meant to last 6 months according to PDP but 2 years after they had won an federal elections Buhari has not halted school fees payments, GEJ failed to sign off on the payments before he left in may Buhari has been in go slow and steady mode and is currently keen to investigate the corruption in the ministry of ND, whose director was called in by EFCC just last week. Nigeria has no true business awarding protection racket contracts to the same criminals vandalizing it's assets. It's like paying the theif not to steal your property. The amnesty programme is hold and rightfully so, it has failed to affect all disenfranchised individuals in the SS so why continue. I was impressed by Tompolo cool head over the last few days, keeping restless militants now corrupted by free money calm |
