Oga sorry o. Those universities u mentioned abroad has adequate facilities to accommodate a certain amount of students and it's d same wiv universities of first choice here in Nigeria. It is no fault of the university. Corruption, Nepotism, quota system and especially population explosion is the reason for this. Whether u accept it or not, it is the right thing to do. Do u want students to have lectures while sitting on the floor or in the window. The university has a limited space. What would they do?

GEJ administration believed that there should be more additional university to cater for the populace, majority of us thought his not talking sense.

If we have more university take caters for this populace, then the issue of unemployment will also reduce but because of selfishness and greedyness they bend to pull him out. Students should not be posted to private schools whose fees are atrocious. If they are now selecting students for schools, then it means no need for post-utme then. just select the highest scoring students and admit for a particular course.

Everyone should be given a fair chance, skul's who av low number of aspirants should be d ones to invite us either we pick them or not, we shouldn't be forced to go there.
Another thing is transparency in d selection, u will see a candidate of higher mark not bin picked nd sumone with a lower mark picked for d exact same course. We should all write d post ume, nd d skul should release her dept cut offs nd if I dnt reach it, I will know its my fault.

Table your grievances to the schools who manipulate. jamb duty is to place suitable candidates and present them for admission into various schools. They don't have a right to force a school to choose you.

When someone is trying to help you. You stay there blabbing rubbish. I have had cause to see the jamb scores and intake of each school and some schools have as much 3000 extra students who are surplus to requirements for some courses while some schools don't even have enough students requesting those courses.


Jamb is very right and they are empowered to do this. You can go to court if you don't like it.

There is nothing like fair chance when things are heavily lopsided. Fair chance when the probability of getting admitted is less than 0.001? Why won't jamb try to balance it and give room to more students to have a real chance to get admitted instead of the next to nothing chance of getting admitted.

Why u people just being unnecessarily self centered. Who doesn't want good things. This is what we are talking about in politics. U think it's only the economy that needs to be diversified. You nigerians need to be diversified to. We all no, it's not about comfort but opportunity. Lagos, Abuja and porthacourt seem to have those opportunities while neglecting other states. Do we have a minister of education? I guess not. These issues need to be resolved as soon as possible,students have worked so hard to sit for exams and come out in flying colours;they need to be admitted in schools of their choice.

I really don't get this, I applied for FUTO to study computer science, I checked the schools website to discover my name wasn't on the list. Then I re-printed my JAMB result slip and it still says FUTO, how do I know where I was re-posted to?

There's seriously the need for an alternative to JAMB.

While this isn't entirely a bad idea, the exercise should've been carried out during registration. Ask the candidates to choose voluntarily another university as their second choice, so that if the number of applicants who are qualified for P-UTME in the mandatory first university is very high, the candidate's name will be forwarded to the second university.

I av the right to pick d skul I want to study nd DAT was y we were asked to pick our choice of inst wen we were registering. Just negodu our future generations. If the number of people from those regions doesn't concern u, u won't have mentioned it in the first place. Just as they have choice. The governing bodies also have choice. If u don't like it, read more or don't complain. We have been there and we have seen it, nothing will change in your time. I was among the. Very first people to write post ume. I almost died, but I did not, It's no use advising youths of now a days. They think they can substitute technology for experience. Like u rightly said, u people have choice, make your choice and don't complain when choices are clashing.
