I think its because basically they tend to look much older and mature its easy for them to see you as "small"

6 times out of 10, girls who talk like that are gold diggers.
They won't call you 'small boy' if you 'splash the cash' on them. They'll be too hypnotized by the money to notice your age.

BUT on a serious note @OP, Females mature faster than males and our mothers also teach them so many thing that they don't teach us.

Another factor that contributes greatly to this speedy maturity is the level of responsibility that we put on them.

We keep on putting more and more responsibility on their head as they grow up so they are forced to learn.

A 10yr old girl can take care of a home and her 15yr old brothergrin when the parents are not around.

Finally, you and I and our fathers also contribute. A guy in his late teens cannot ask a girl in her 30s out but our fathers in their late fifties still go after girls in their early twenties.
