I have not seen this improved light in my area.It still follows the same pattern

I must say, electricity is quite good these days. I had light all through the weekend. They just took it a few minutes ago, and will probably bring it back soon. Thank God we now have a leader who, under his watch, things work.

They brought back the light approximately 15 minutes ago though, with PHCN, anything Is possible. But generally, it's really stable these days.

They have just used this situation to provide their staff with opportunities to be fraudulent. One NEPA/PHCN/DISCO staff came to my neighbourhood recently, claiming his mission was to investigate those with bad or faulty pre-paid meters. When he discovered that the guy who lives opposite me, had a faulty pre-paid metre, he asked for =N=30,000 (thirty thousand naira) to fix the guy's meter, or else he would disconnect his electricity supply.

My neighbour brought out copies of the letters he wrote to the DISCO complaining about his faulty meter and requesting for their help in fixing it.

He also brought out copies of recharge cards he has been buying every month to load online using his meter number, as well as some bank tellers which he has used to make payment into the DISCO's account, to cover a fixed sum based on his approximate use of energy, which he had computed in the past.

Bros, this DISCO engineer/technician no gree oh. He disconnected my friend. And only reconnected him, after the guy coughed out the =N=30k. The interesting thing, is that the meter has not been fixed till date. And there is no receipt for the =N=30k.

He went back to complain to the DISCO. They just dismissed him, and asked him to buy another 3-phase meter at =N=60,000 each. Imagine!
