I came across this from a very Concerned Nigerian Let's make this a public outcry, and stop this unfunny DISCO music.

This DISCO companies are DEFRAUDING us with this, they hide behind the

estimated bill to bring very unbearable and unimaginable monthly charges,

where I live in Fagba, we have a storey building and a boys quarter, the

story building has two flats at the upstairs and we have five self-

contained down-stairs, the two separate flats upstairs have two separate

meters and all the mini-flats down-stairs have One single meter, all these

meters are working very well, so they have no problem, each of these three

meters comes with a bill of N1000 to N1500 per month. But at the boys

quarter where I reside, there are two self-contained and our meter is not

working so they give us estimated bills, could you believe that they bring

as much as N13,000, N14,000 for our own small place alone, we don't even

have appliances, I am still a single man, so my major electric appliance

is still my Laptop and Fan, the other man uses Fridge, Tv and that's all.

We pay in a SINGLE MONTH more what all the other mini flats pay in a YEAR,

and anytime we find it hard to meet up with the exorbitant fee, they come

and cut the light, we clear the bills and pay re-connection fees to be

able to restore it, this has been going on for maybe two years now.

PLEASE I BEG YOU IN THE NAME OF GOD, HELP US, because it's affecting only

a few people, it has not become a social cry, they just do this

underground, we have sought for solutions to no avail, we've requested for

a good meter, they will say it is not available, we've seen all the people

we can possible seen, we've bribed, and all kinds, NO SOLUTION, we, at a

time said that they should close our account, it will be better for us to

be using our money for generator and fuel, but they say once NEPA account

is open, you cannot close. The most painful part is that OUR POWER IS VERY

POOR, even in this Era, of change, the supply is still very epileptic, we

need this to STOP, PLEASE HELP ALL NIGERIANS GOING THROUGH THIS. My Own

distribution company is IKEDC, Ikeja Electricity Distribution company.

Let me also say this, they brought down the fee a bit during election to

about N7,000, one month after PMB's swearing in, they did the same, but it

seems they discovered the eye of the government is not on them, they

started unleashing their Outrageous fees again from July.

3 self cons - 5500 upwards. What do we own? Fridges, stereos, televisions, phones, fans, laptops, I am the only one with a blender and we aren't home 24/7 always.
Two months now 5500 and 5688...in these two months, we have had erratic power. Last week, they were on strike; this week...nothing. PHEDC is the one in charge; I wish Akwa Ibom was under Aba and not Port Harcourt.
