I submitted passport on 13 october to get it stamp after successful AR but still waiting to receive it.how long can it take more.

So I finally picked my passport today, after waiting for one month .lols... London here I come

My own took one month, its tier 5 work visa, yours is student visa, so it might be quicker.. Be calm, you will soon hear from them. Cheers

Tier 5 is different . I don’t know whats taking them soo long to stamp.

Hello all, congratulations to those that recently got their visas. i hope you are all settled in. few advice for those here or planning to come for studies.

1. Start applying for jobs immediately your are settled. i know it being said before but i cants stress the importance of this.

2. Only apply for job from companies on the tier 2 list.

3. Download and familiarise yourself with all sections on the tier 2 and tier 4 guidance for both sponsors and applicant. This would enable you to stay in confines of the law in anything you are doing.

3a. General tier 2 requirement does not apply to a tier 4 student. their is still provisions for post-study work. YES THEIR IS PROVISION FOR POST STUDY WORK IN THE TIER 2 GUIDANCE. below are a few points for your reference (paraphrasing)

Section 1.9: Employers do not need to pay the immigration skill charge for a Tier 4 student visa holder which is currently in the UK.
Section 26.4 -26.5: Exempt tier 4 student from requiring the minimum salary of £30,000 per year down to £20,800.
Section 28.9: This exempts an employer from carrying out the resident labour market test.

4. Network and meet people. this is as important as your education, the right introduction to the right person would work wonders.

I cannot stress how important this post is if you want to work after school. Don't be scared to apply for any job and start applying before you finish school.

I am asking this because I noticed from people here that the ECO don't like hearing (I am going to my country to search or hunt for job) after spending that huge amount of money, that you still want to go back to search or hunt for job

planning on coming back home to put my practical and theoretical knowledge and experiences I must have acquired during my course of study into practise as an HR specialist and practitioner in aspect of recruitment, selection motivation and performance appraisal of employees and on a long run, establishing my HR consulting firm

Because I believe having a masters in this course and coupled with chartered institute of personnel development certificate is going to give me a sense of identification and specialisation, and accelerate my aspiration as an HR practitioner

As an HR practitioner, I can work anywhere, so far, they engages human/people in their day to day activities. But maybe I will add some international organisations, like oil companies, manufacturing companies or financial institutions, even government organisations just to be specific or what do you think. its better I act novice here than in front of the ECOs

Pls house I need help. How long does it take for ECO to make a decision when you put in for Administrative review? Also do you have to include new documents to back up? Pls help me out

Too general.
Because you may immediately be asked:
There are Nigerian Universities which offer the exact same course. Why then must you travel to to Sokoto to look for something that is inside your śòkòto?

If I was ask that question, will simply put it back that UK educational system offers a blend of both theoretical and practical aspect of my chosen course, which cannot be found here in Nigeria because we are master of theories not masters of both theories and practical and the system is stable in UK compare to what we have here in Nigeria

28 days. Most are done in 2 weeks. Only add document if you were banned under 320. If noy you only submit Admin review file. Goodluck.

Maybe be more specific, like naming some firms you have an eye on. Not necessarily, but it makes your answers tailored to you and your aspirations

Hello house, I just got an admission to do an MBA @ Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland for Jan 2018, but would love to go with my 3kids. I want to apply for our visa together. My question is, do l apply alone and go first or apply with them together because l actually want to go with them.

You can say you have already acquired or applied to work at a place (mention the place) and a major requirement is a masters degree to be considered.

Or if you are already working somewhere,you state where and say its a requirement for promotion.

In the UK, you can apply with all three children as long as you have the funds to care for you 3 but your husband has to apply. I am guessing its the same rule that applies for Scotland.

Congratulations, I have also gained admission to study in the same uni for Jan 2018. With my experience, I think you should apply first, then apply for your children before leaving the country (kindly note that time is of essence here) ...except you are using super priority option which is quite expensive for 4 applicants...I don't think it's really okay to apply with 3 children at once because the ECO might as well consider how you would take care of them in the UK alone. So I think you should get yours first, then go ahead with theirs. I wish you the very best.
