I was told the same thing. They almost force me to play because of my elocutions. But I still maintained my apathy. Maybe because I was afraid it might end in debacle.

Lol. You should loosen up and have fun playing the game. It isn't the player with the largest vocab that always wins. If you lose, sometimes, it might not be because your challenger is more vast in words than you are. Strategy and the game skill also matter.

I can't remember the last time I lost.

If you don't pick high scoring letters, even if you have the whole lexis in the world embedded in your cranium, you will find it difficult to score good marks and will probably lose. Especially if your opponent gets the high scoring letters and he/she is skilled in playing the game.
