You would think an animal that mistakenly entered a university would be protected because of the so-called "students" there who should have known better. Unfortunately, there's no difference between students or graduates and illiterates in Nigeria.

I was in Kenya not too long ago and guess the impression some Kenyans who have visited Nigeria in the past have about us:

"People of Nigeria eat any animal they come across". That explains why we lack natural wildlife like they do. Visit Kenya and see that tourism+wildlife is attracting a lot of foreigners.

Its sad that there are no existing laws to preserve these animals.

Whenever I watch Nat geo and see the wildlife in other Africa countries and the efforts that are being made to preserve endangered species, I feel ashamed for Nigeria, that can't even boast of monkeys in our zoos.
