This is how they all start....

blah blah yada yada. driver this driver that. why don't you drive that car yourself from now till April, so that you see first-hand what a driver goes through?

why don't you give yourself a weekly target of the same amount you wanted to give the car off on HP. Make sure you diligently pay that amount into a bank account you can never have access to till April. Then run your life on the remaining money Left, including servicing the vehicle and periodic maintenance.

come back here and tell your experience.

Oga frm my initial post u will see dat i said i can't drive d vehicle myself because i am working. A diligent driver dat knws wat he is doing will be able to meet up with 35k weekly payment nd will nt even default for once. Except he is nt been truthful or he is lazy to wrk.

Why Does Your Car Need A Security Tracker? Better Safe Than Sorry....

Insurance is good and necessary, but ONLY A TRACKER CAN GUARANTEE SECURING YOUR VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF THEFT...

WHY DOES YOUR CAR NEED A TRACKER:

(1) Security: While anti-theft systems like push-buttons before car start, gear lock, pedal locks etc... are good, ONLY A TRACKING SYSTEM LIKE OURS ALLOWS YOU TO RECOVER YOUR VEHICLE IF YOUR CAR IS HIJACKED FROM YOU WHILE DRIVING.

(2) Remote Monitoring: GPS Security trackers allows you to monitor your vehicle location remotely from your phone. You are able to view your car's location in real time (from our IOS/ANDROID APPS).

(3) Vehicle History: Through our online platform (IOS/ANDROID APPS), you can view where your car had been between DAY X and DAY Y. A plot is shown on a map showing your car's movement over this period of time.

(4) Remotely Stop Your Car: With our security GPS tracker, you are able to stop your car from ANY PHONE with an sms command. This function can also be carried out through our online platforms.

(5) Geo-Fencing Alarm:If your car goes beyond set a radius (or multi-point), say Lagos, you will be notified by sms.

(6) Other alarms (Over-speed Alarm, Ignition On Alarm, Low Battery Alarm ): Over-speed alarms notifies you via sms when your car goes beyond a particular speed. Ignition on notifies you WHENEVER your car is started. Low Battery Alarm lets you know when your car battery is low.

(7) Daily Mileage report (online platform): Daily mileage report shows you a daily chart (in KM) of your car.

Ok. I understand nw. Buh with a flexible payment plan dat wont be too heavy on d drivers i tink dey will meet up. Well lemme try HP with dis den i will try rental with d next vehicle i will buy b4 april.

Bro I quite go along with you on this. Some guys on this thread prefers to have slaves under them for life. With a flexible payment plan, drivers can meet up with HP. But when d car owner is over zealous, then there would be a problem. I know so many guys on UBER that do not make noise like most people we have here that have paid HP successfully.
They have their cars now and gives cars out on HP and not rental. What they do is to impart their drivers with the same spirit they had when they were on HP.
So if anyone here tells u its not possible for a driver to meet up,please check very well, they want to ensure u derail.
Moreover,is it not wickedness for a car owner to retrieve a car from driver after the guy has toiled for over 7months all because he defaulted for a week?
What if the car develops engine problem? Will d driver steal to pay u? Please let's be considerate a bit.
In my experience its better to state it in d agreement that in d advent of car issues that lapses more than a week, payment will be on hold till d car is back on d road. The car owner will see his car and ascertain it's faulty of a truth. Nobody want to be a slave. Every man wants his independence.
So for the guys that says he is OK with HP because he is happy to retrieve his car back if d driver default. Bro,that's wickedness. Let be a bit humane. Slavery is not our portion.....

Also cost of courier for shipping documents.

Different ways to reduce that... DHL is say 90usd... you can also request a telex.

Has Uber business turn to charity?

Anybody who goes into business, does so for profit.

There is nothing like slavery here, work and earn ur money.

If you need charity go to church where you pay ur 10% or meet the rich men in ur village to help u.

Don't come and be expecting owners that want to improve their business to adjust to ur own term, because you tagged them inhuman, the humanity should start from ur village or church.

Is it a coincidence that any Nigerian would want to work for a foreign-owned company of Europeans or Americans over companies owned by a fellow Nigerian? And they are all doing business. We are a wicked, inhuman people and our society is the worse off for it

Apparently some guys on this thread are frustrated slowpokes. I can tell from their comments here. I'm new on Uber, I tot there is usually inspection of cars only to be told something else today at their office. I see no crime trying to hear from ppl with experience to confirm if there used to be inspection. Its possible the lady who attended to me wasn't on same page with me. Also I wasn't d only guy at Uber office today, I'm sure other ppl will ask same question I did and might still be nairalanders too. If u don't have any positive thing to say just hush!!!
