Hello guys, God will reward you for the wonderful work you are doing here. I am attending a conference in march and have my appointment scheduled for 1st March, but the issue is this, I did not have my passport uploaded while filling my DS-160 as I plan to bring it along on the interview date. Now hearing of the new instruction of compulsory passport upload, I tried to retrieve my application to upload it but since it is more than 30days I submitted my form, it can't be retrieved. What do I do guys please?

Hello house. Thanks for the good works, I must tell that I learnt a lot from here. DH n I went to our interview on the 8th of february and below is the transcript:
Vo: hello, passports please. So why are u going to the US
Dh: Vacation
Vo: OK, where do work
Dh: I work wt bla bla n my duties are.........
Vo: What server does your company use (DH is an engineer)

P. S. Though I used an agent, I made sure he filled our forms with the truth( dh already paid him before I stumbled on this thread). He advised us to lie, that we should tell the vo that we have a kid but I declined. The truth always pays. I have made up my mind not to use an agent again, they might spoil one's chances.
Also, prayer works. We prayed like we didn't plan. We studied our ds-160 forms like we were to write an exam on it.
My observation: a lot of people were issued visa that day. Guess twas a good day at the embassy.

Normally if you read up the thread you will find answers to your question.. 1) No need to put anything for passport book number 2) You must fill your combined monthly income in local currency even if you're a business owner. 3) Yes tell them your role as owner and business man and explain your role... letter of introduction is not necessary but you may bring it along if you want. 4) Start with your University/poly degree... oh are you still in school?

I am posting this from my hotel room in San Francisco, California.
Wanted to give back to this forum, in appreciation of the wonderful help I got here in making this trip possible.

My Visa application that was placed on 'Administrative Processing' was finally approved and issued after two weeks.
I already posted transcript of my interview at Abuja earlier on this thread (on page 300).
I got my passport 3 days after the approval, and quickly got a flight on Travelstart. Turkish Airlines.
The two weeks Administrative Processing really affected my travel plans as I didn't know what the eventual outcome would be.
We arrived San Francisco on Sunday, 12th Feb (the conference starts Monday, 13th), and there was no issue whatsoever at POE.
The lady simply asked for my purpose of visit (IT Conference and IBM Summit), how long I intend to stay (10 days), and how much cash I have ($2,100 and my Credit Cards). That's all. She said that's cool, and stamped me in for 6 months.
The first conference is ending on Friday (17th Feb), and IBM Connect Summit starts at the same venue on Monday (20th Feb), to end next Friday (24th Feb).
I'll visit a few friends, and then head back to Nigeria in March.

For those worried about POE issues, my take is that you just have to be composed and confident. Carry relevant IDs (work ID, Govt issued IDs, etc.), dress well, and answer all questions truthfully. Your entry will be smooth.
This is my first time in America, and I must confess it's a beautiful place.

My sister in law is graduating from Yale Uni in May and she invited me with an invitation letter though she also said her school insists it is not required for visa application. I work for a Federal Agency and earn 350k per month. Been working in this Agency for four years and i had my masters degree in the UK. I also visited the UK for vacation few years after my Masters Degree. I will be paying for my flight and accommodation and intend to stay for one week if i eventually attend her grad.However, i am weighing my options whether i should apply or not as i am not married and i dont know if that alone may disqualify me as not having enough ties. I really want to go for the Grad but being rejected based on marital status or the monthly income is my major concern. I know they dont often check statements or pay slips but this thread has proved that self evaluation is better so one doesn't waste visa application fees.Please advice.
