|Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by opomulero(m): 4:56pm On Sep 14|
Thank you @ KaptainAfrika,
(1) Know that I am not desperate, and me applying for DV lottery as for me do not show desperation since DV lottery is free for all to apply for, and if the VO is judging me based on this, i think this is unfair as many people that have applied for DV lottery and have the same issue with me have gotten B1/B2 visa.
(2)I have to travel to turkey so that I can redeem the voucher (flight ticket) given to me from work that will expire in may (5 months expiration period: January to May 2016).... its a free ticket voucher and we taught of using it to travel to US if we were granted that what made us apply in February 2016 and after denial , we then used it in April so wont loose i wont loos the voucher.
So in December 2016, we decided to apply again and was denied
(3)The VO never ask "why are you desperate to go to US"
------He asked where do you want to visit in USA: chicago |VO said OK
-------where do you want to visit there: Bleep, Bleep, Bleep |VO said OK
-------do you have any relative in USA: No (and honestly NO) | VO said OK
he started typing, stopped typing and starring at his computer for like a minute. and just bring out blue paper and said sorry your visa cannot be granted now, reapply....
Chikena, thats why i said can I choose another state asides chicago that i chose before?
cos there is another bonus (voucher in he making for me) thats why i wanted to reapply

KINDLY help in replying to this my statement?
|Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by keni: 5:52pm On Sep 14|
1- Applying for DV lottery does not affect subsequent visa application in anyway
2- From my observation haven been on this thread since the first season, there is something about you 2012 DV lottery glitch people that I cant seem to understand, you are not the first to complain about this issue, there is something about that glitch that is affecting applicants that were affected then. I have read about this issue here before.

KaptainAfrika:Kaptainafrikuku....i feel ya , how's Singapore na
|Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 7:09pm On Sep 14|
1. If a VO asks why you are desperate to go to the US, since you have applied for a DV Visa, then two failed visa applications (making it 3 applications). You should be prepared for such a question. That's why I asked you. I am not saying you are desperate.
2. Okay that explains the Turkey trip, now if you are asked where have you gone to, make sure to mention Turkey and give this explanation you just wrote as quick as possible.
3. The fact that you have once applied for an Immigration visa, means that you have to show that you still don't have that immigrant intent and this is through showing them strong ties to Nigeria (in the form and the interview). The others that got theirs, showed this strong ties. I am not saying you won't get your visa.

|Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 7:14pm On Sep 14|
The kind of chill that across me, when I heard the woman ask that question. It was like an 'accusation' question.
'Why are you desperate to go the US?'

Bros,i know say madam go born there when you get the visa, so abeg admit she's pregnant.... ..you should have asked before the application, there's a lie that will tarnish someone's credibility and will take you years to have a clean poo..

|Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by ab4m: 7:52pm On Sep 14|
I read your response above, am not a liar and will never be.
I didn't know the process and didn't know about this thread not after I submitted my application.
The truth is that, if granted the VISA, I will be going alone becuse I can't afford her delivery fee there (hustling level). I was just told that its better I apply with her since we just got married.
In a nutshell, I was misguided during the application not to declare much info about my wife and can't question the person that guide me throughout the application because I knew he knows better than me.
Hope I clear everything now.
Thanks for your support.

|Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Sebastine1606(m): 10:50pm On Sep 14|
Just a quick, but a little lengthy one, hope it drives home the very point and become our key towards future applications.
I want to start by saying, the American visa is actually not a ticket to heaven, that been said, I really will like to say that applicants should always consider their credibility and their future when making applications for a visa.. ...especially the US visa, which is in no doubt the most sort after.
I Will share some experiences with us all, I have a colleague at work who is married with two beautiful kids, he applied with his family, but out of information or ignorance, he misrepresented on the area of monthly pay,"too much to believe"he used his upfront as his monthly pay and still made a mistake to scan his salary breakdown alongside application, he was denied twice, his first interview, according to him, the vo was angry.. .the second wasn't successful.A simple act of honesty would have done the magic, very solid ties, Good job, married and with kids, inclusive of good working experience. But for lieing about his salary(who knows) am not the vo who interviewed him.
Another guy was banned in my very own eyes, with the VO explaining to him so kindly and professionally why he was been banned(misreprensentation)That was when I thanked God I didn't, even though I was denied then, I still have chances of trying again.
The last experience I will share, a colleague of mine too, after been denied far back 8 years, reapplied with the same status, which was still single, but his salary and working experience had increased, was approved, only with one question"you say you are an engineer"what is this, he answered and BINGO, he heard the golden words, "you are truly an engineer",but to me, it wasn't actually the engineering thing, he didn't lie from day one, he had kept a clean poo with the United States and can be trusted. If u are using an agent because your dont know how to fill the form properly, please tell him the informations you want, you tell him what to do, sit with him and fill the form, coz its your life and your name on the form, not his.. .they are only after their Pay, so they don't care if they tarnish your image, I say "DON'T ALLOW THEM"
Let's all understand that If you don't get a visa today or tomorrow, you may get it next tomorrow, we should also know that the word "trust" Can't be bought, but earned
Trust gives you confidence to speak between your fellow human, it gives you pride and it carries weight.
Let's also know that there are some people who can't stand before a vo to have an interview, coz they feel they are better, meaning if the country is good, we will all have the intent to just visit and come back, what if we choose not to patronize the US, who will they interview?
Let's also remember that every VO doesn't care about the 64K we pay for each visa fees which isn't up-to $200 to start with because he even earns such daily, (just maybe) That money is much to throw away in our present overpassed recession Nigeria.
I beseech all of us to keep a clean slate, maintain your stands, let your words be accurate and truthful to the Best of your knowledge, put yourself in the shoes of the VO,if someone else tells you such lies via his ds160 and affirmed interview, will you approve? Let honesty be our watchword and skies will be the starting point in everything we do in life, apart from the American visa
N. B-Am yet to see who was punished cos he was honest, he/she can only be denied and not banned ,it's more honourable to be denied than to be banned for 10 years, like a prisoner who would have suffered mental torture, and after the 10 years is lifted, you are not even sure to get a visa, you may be denied over and over again... ..So why the heck
It pays to be honest, it sets a pace and a standard for you, if you denied because you are honest today By a vexed VO, you may be approved tomorrow by a nice VO waiting for you to just come and say why you are going to the US
God bless us all on our paths of life
I hope this suffice.. ...

prettyirene:Prettyirene, I personally feel you can just sum it up in a few weighty words, the key job you undertake and then you could be more vocal and explain better in your interview
For why you where denied, every applicants have their own reasons, if it's true it's under section 214B, maybe you could just fill "consular decision".....simple

Hello bosses in the house.. I have being a silent reader for long time now.. I would like to ask some questions for a friend.. He studied his degree abroad from 2010 - 2014 which he visits Nigeria at least once in every Nov or Dec each year. He came home immediately after graduation and served(Nysc) then start an IT consulting and training company in 2015.. during his studies he never overstayed in **bleep** country for any stupid reason and he had visited Singapore for vacation... He got South Africa visits visa 3 times between 2015-2016 but he couldn't visit SA due to his commitment to his business. He is single, he has a house and a car.. Please Gurus, here is my question, can the three South African visas not used arise a concern from the VO's view? And does his Business & travel history serve as enough ties to Nigeria... His planning to visit Chicago on vacation by December
