when my wife was preggy and we wanted to deliver our baby in US the but the time was very short, the agent helped us book an ealier date even about 2 times with a very short time like 2 weeks interval although the visa was denied but the agent never collected a dime from us cos my wife was denied visa. Though the person was introduced to me by my colleague in the office and we only spoke on phone but he gave me the terms and i told him to go ahead but nothing collected cos the visa was denied i think we made the initial mistake which made it difficult for her to get the visa. Mind you, he does not collect a dime from me until wrk is done. Every applicant is treated separately, just weigh your own ties and don't worry about mama

mind you, its human being that are incharge of these system and arrangement so you are only limited to the level of knowledge you are aware about and and if you are not deeply rooted in the ways things are done, u may not know how it wrk. Am not praising the agent and i have not even met him one on one we were only talking on fone. the same agent when one of our enginerr was denied visa at the france embasy, he was called and he collected the documents took it to the embassy and the engineer was later called from the french embassy to come for his visa. so my friend we are only limited to what we know

You are good to go. Your passport won't show on the confirmation page. It can only show if you want to print your completed ds 160 form in case you want to have it for future reference purpose.Best of luck in your upcoming interview.

This info is wrong.. when you upload your picture it must show on your ds160 confirmation page...

Hi Everyone.

I had been following and read through the thread.

Please what do you guys think about this.

I was to attend a leadership training for 3 weeks from Oct 1st to 25th, i went though the qualifying test through out July and August and got invitation early September. By the time i paid and book appointment i got 18th October for Interview which is the middle of the Leadership training already.

If i should present that to the VO, my chances could be NO, though another Leadership conference had been slated for March/April 2018 but i am thinking of changing my application for vacation and visiting in December, so that by March i do not need to go queue for visa but just fly for my Training having received 2 years multiple visa.

Please what do you think about this? Is this thought right?

Oh, just recollected i called Lagos Embassy to see if i can change my appointment date and told the Customer service my reason, which i believe she would have noted in their system. i f i go for vacation and visiting hope it won't go against me?

I am head of Operation for an IT company and collect 218k after taxation
I'd only travel to Ghana 5 years ago in 2012 for vacation.
Intend vacation to New York and road travel to visit my in-law in Philadelphia.

Well, travel experience area not neat. Even if you were "lieing" all through sef, it held itself together somehow in my assessment sha, though I can pick the likely lies in there, e.g the 3year old and fiance part to create ties for self. However, if the bank statement part is correct and true as written above, that the interview actually stopped there, it then means your "story" crumbled and fell like a pack of card right there. Why go to the Embassy with a bank statement in the first place when they said it's not a must... If the V.O ask for bank statement you can always say you did not bring it.

Other people were virtually on their laptop searching for new dates, after a while a limit was introduced to how many times you can log in within a certain period. Equally, rescheduling of appointment dates was limited to twice unlike what obtain years back.

The truth is that no agent (or anyone for that matter) has an edge on getting earlier appointment dates.

i earn 200k monthly while my wife earns 318k. while answering his questions i failed to acknowledge
the fact that we are visiting a friend who works as a naval officer with the us navy. and not even his home address
was mentioned by me out of anxiety.

Your reason for traveling is to visit a friend and also tour U.S you should have included your friend in the narrative.

Had a similar issue, basically took a court affidavit along to the interview to show that the two names were the same person. had no issues and was given the visa...just better to be prepared so you don't come across as fraudulent if the VO raises the issue

you must have uploaded a passport that does not conform with the required standard. A new form will be filled. A digital copy of the passport directly from the photographer is what is needed for the application. Don't use a scanned copy. Meanwhile, you will need to update your appointment profile with the new application/confirmation number.

Its risky. She might be returned at POE if she is showing already. The proper thing is to fill/ file a change of intent form to let them know that you want to change the purpose from just visit to birthing.

If she is not returned, she might have to prove that she is capable of paying her medical bills and she needs big money for this. If unable to prove this, she will be returns at POE

In that case, that can't be an Agent (outsider) but an insider (within the Embassy) who would exploit the special arrangements for expediated appointments.

It depends on how computer proficient he is. You can actually scan a passport, crop and resize it to meet the requirement.

The change of intent form do not really count. The visa must be used for the initial purpose it was obtained for, and she shouldn't be pregnant at the time of the visa interview. in order words, there must be a minimum of nine (9) months from the interview date and expected delivery date.

He should be prepared to give convincing reasons for not using SA visas thrice. Possession of a car is definitely not a strong tie from my personal perspective, however the house could be if he can substantiate that he built/bought it from his income. In order words, it should be obvious that the income from his business (and clientele) is/are substantial enough to serve as strong tie(s)
