Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, on Saturday announced the release of N17 million for payment to those who surrendered illegal weapons during his amnesty programme. He made the disclosure at a meeting with 175 people who surrendered 366 assorted weapons.Governor Ortom stated that the amnesty committee has organised a retreat for those who responded to the amnesty, adding that the event would come up on October 14 and 15, at the Benue Peoples House. He expressed appreciation to those who responded and pledged that they would be rehabilitated and integrated to live normal lives within the community. He however, noted that his administration would partner security agencies to fish out those still holding weapons illegally and perpetrating crimes in the state. He explained that the provision of security to the people of the state was a prerequisite for the maintenance of law and order as well as the attraction of investment into the state. He stated that his administration was determined to provide an enabling environment for the private sector to thrive in the state and create massive jobs wealth and opportunities for the people.

we just like paying huge sum of money while graduates are there unemployed.
I am starting to believe that criminals and militants get more recognized than graduates in my dear country.

Don't know how to feel about this news...

1. Does he realize he is leaving hos people vulnerable to attacks from the demon herdsmen?

2.Is he going to provide them security?

Benue state have gone to the dogs, this is same ghana group that was sponsored by suswam govt to resist fulani militia but the cowards got no balls to do so, instead he turned against his own people committing all levels of crime ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping and political assasination.

He was responsible for the death of some high profile killings in benue, his group kidnapped the wife of chief R.N okeke and also the wife of emenike udennweze. The ghana group was responsible for ambushing Igbo traders coming to trade in sankera senatorial district. A painter from cross river state lost his life to this devil leaving behind his pregnant wife and kids, five other people died same night from the attack. Many people were killed in one of their attacks on innocent people in kyado market. The evil Mr ghana and his group commited is just much that I can't list all here.

The gov is encouraging crime with this singular act of celebrating criminals. Instead of standing up for the defenceless and bring the perpetrators of evil deeds to book the gov have chosen to dine with evil because this boys are veritable tools in the hands of any dubious politicians like himself. Where is justice to all those who lost their life to this madness? A nigerian soldier and a policeman was killed by this same group and the best they could do was to punish the inhabitants of the town with curfew and subsequent extortion that comes with it.

The world should know that ortom have empowered criminals, they are all over benue beer parlours drinking costly wines and the locals gathers to watch them. MR ghana is being protected by some officials of NSCDC, he was given official car and security for killing benue people. I hate nigeria. Why am I a nigerian? Why do we have senseless people as leaders?
