In phillip effiong's surrender statement, he said the state of biafra now ceases to exist, on seeing the renegades gowon was moved to tears, the video is available on youtube for all who want to see it.

After that he began the process of reconstruction and rehabilitation of the war ravaged areas, gave out 20 pounds and set up NYSC.
Before the british came, southern nigeria were independent of each other, when the whites came with slave trading, the efik and aros particularly stood out in selling their kin and captured slaves, smaller minority groups were pushed deeper into the forests to hide from slave traders and the edo empire. Plz read mary slessor's biography, it contains her diaries too and is a very valuable resource on the history of southern nigeria. After the decline of slave trading the british formed the southern nigeria protectorate under sir ralph moor, and the individual areas were gradually absorbed , some by negotiation others by military action such as Aro.

Fast forward to 1914, the northern, southern and lagos were joined as one country.

Fast forward to 1967, there were already tensions and the ibos wanted to leave. But according to wikipedia, both ojukwu and gowon already had knowledge of the crude in the ND. So he carved out east central state to isolate the grieving ibos. This provoked ojukwu who then declared biafra shortly after. Soon enough ojukwu invaded the midwest to annex her similar to hitler's lebensaurum policy as he knew that he could not defeat nigeria and annex the whole country, and the federal troops started recovering the whole of nigeria back.

Fast forward to 2015, biafra is back, but nnamdi kanu is doing it the wrong way, majority of the areas he's claiming do not even know the implication of biafra, there was no consultation whatsover. As a stateholder I suggest the following recommendations

UNITY OF PURPOSE

There are too many pro-biafran groups and sometimes their ideologies are conflicting. For instance there is no standard map of biafra, there are different maps being circulated covering differnt areas. Biafra needs recognised and credible people to champion their cause and not online flash mobs

PAN IBO ASSOCIATION

There is a huge void in the igbo nation, as it does not have a real umbrella body that covers them properly. And it is also true that the averaage igbo man does not want to covered, as he feels he is a king in his own house , as the popular saying goes Igbo nwe' Eze meaning the igbos haave no king. The ohaneze ndigbo is seen as too polarized and romances freely with the nigerian government, and there have often been reports of discrimination at minority igbos .
Nnamdi kanu could transform ipob into an ibo sociocultural group, since it already enjoys the support of the masses, it only needs to speak out against crimes being committed by igbos. For instance if ipob continuously condemns igbo drug traffickers and money launderers then the world would take you much more seriously. After removing the log from your eyes you can start condemning injustice done against ibos nationwide, then even your ohaneze ndigbo would beg to be allied with ipob
Furthermore you can carry out debates on your radio biafra regarding economic prospects with facts backing them, this would attract ibos in diaspora and when they are convinced of its viability they would push for UN acceptance. The importance of this step is so that you don't lose your investments in nigeria as would be the case if we separate under less amicable terms.

RESPECT FOR OTHERS

Respect for other parts of the south is very essential as even if some of these areas eventually end up outside biafra, they would still be your neighbours. Even if biafra would get a port it would be functional pn the first day, you would still need to carry goods through these neighbouring states. And they would also act as buffer towns, because if we really think of the number of ibos in nigeria, if you should be evicted, biafra won't be large enough to house everyone. We all know that during christmas and new year visits some people end up sleeping in the sitting room and inside their cars due to overcrowding.
And also radio biafra should also give attention to the non ibo elements of biafra as they are doing you aa big favour. The easiest way to get a rivers man to like you is to play Rex Lawson's music

FINAL STEP
After doing the above, everyone would support the idea of an ibo nation

Am not surprised that none of your brothers have commented positively to your submission. They don't like the truth; they prefer lies. Tell them you should go to war and they will embrace you. But tell them to be reasonable with their agitation and they will abuse you. The average Igbo man only applies sense in business. But he seems to be devoid of sense in practically every other thing.

Nothing like Biafra. Biafra only exist on d lips of those that says Biafra. In where I come from in South-south, the name "Biafra" is a Taboo. The entire Territory belongs to the federal Republic of Nigeria. Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, Anambra and Enugu are all in d territory of Nigeria just like every other part of Nigeria including my own state of Rivers state belongs to Nigeria. No room for Biafra.

Biafra is a possibility. There is nothing bad in people saying they want to have their own country. They should be allowed to go when they want to go.

The only thing that upon and other Biafra children wanna hear is what they were being fed on Biafra radio. They teach them hatred for other tribes, they just wanna go via war. All they want is war. That is the only way they could satisfy their revenge for the 1967. An average Biafra guy wants Nigeria which they always call zoo to burn, collapse and cease to exist including children, women and men. The degree of hatred these guys have for other tribes is just too much. Tell them how to achieve Biafra peacefully and they curse you to high evens but tell them statements like 'the zoo will burn' "the zoo must be destroyed" and you hear a typical Biafra give you a rousing ovation and support. These same people do to church every Sunday to hear the word of God. U am in support of a Biafra, but never at the expense of the life of anyone. Biafra can he achieved without war, violence.

One reason the south-south will never support them is the genuine disrespect the south-south has for them for feeling it was okay to assume their (the south-south's) sons and daughters should go to war for them with completely zero consultation(in the first war), and their seeming incapacity to ever notice such a grievous error.

You will recall that most kingdoms of the south-south have similar cultures, with kings and their equivalent of upper and lower senate houses and chiefs, comprising their political structures, which existed for centuries. Structures the white man came to meet, making it easy for him to do do business through them.

The Okrikas and Bonny people (as an example) fought so many wars in the past which they both won and lost on their own ends. It was so bad that they had to come to an agreement and signed a treaty never to go to war again. Such ancient documents still exist in our palaces.

So you see that we will do things with consultation and with reason.

Coming out of such a background, the typical south-southerner sees the Igbo man as a ship without a rudder. And indeed, the complete diplomatic mess they made of the 1966 biafran struggle only seemed a confirmer of this opinion.

Fast forward to today and we find the very sad situation where younger Igbos (who are less read, less refined and less exposed than their 1966 counterparts) where their predecessors did not understand the place of diplomacy in the pursuit of a political goal seem to be 10X more bereft of it.

And this core bereftness does not seem to be something that can be cured. It seems to be something that comes right from the inside of their bones (maybe their social DNAs).

There is a means to the actualisation of the Biafra agenda (if the agitators have the sophistication enough, which it seems they do not).
Unfortunately, I have come to accept the fact that they may only learn from the hurt that comes from the results of their poor actions which will make them perpetually close to 75 years behind the rest of Nigeria - Socially and Politically speaking.

Economically, of course, is a topic for another discussion.

I am south-south

Their failure to consult with the so called 'non -ibo' groups is due to a certain pride, vain and lacking justification, a belief that they are a divinely endowed aryan race, allowed to lord over their neighbours- Infact I cringe when I hear ibos refer to the south south as their younger brother, what impunity!! Do the ibos have any historical heritage apart from the Aro murderers?
If biafra goes to war without consultation of the south, we would see it as an annexation and they'll have a war on multiple fronts.
With the present state of affairs, biafra is inachievable with tact or weaponry. Because the average agitator doesn't have an idea about their history, peculiarities of the nigerian kettle, emotional appeal and a core lack of diplomatic skill like you have opined

95% of threads on Biafra is suppose to be in the ethnic section. Gradually the
politics section of NL is becoming a platform to air the agitation for Biafra.
Mods move all these silly posts to ethnic section and let us discuss Nigeria.

Your comment touched me to the marrow. If only I was the President, I would have conferred on you - the Officer of The Order of The Niger (OON). grin

We need people like you to dominate the South-East and the South-South geopolitical zones.

Nagode my friend, Nigeria must be great again! grin

They also claim Logos is no man's land (and that they developed it)

Please take a look at what one of them said here: https://www.nairaland.com/1975320/ancient-igbo-rule-over-parts

Their lies are most of the time an insult on the intelligence of the ears that hear them
