Kogi PDP Blasts Buhari, APC For Giving State ‘humiliating’ Portfolio by lalastiklala: 2:48am On Nov 14, 2015 |
The Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday slammed the All Progressives Congress, APC, for allocating the position of junior minister to the state. The ministerial nominee for the state, Mr. James Ocholi (SAN), was assigned the portfolio of Minister of State. Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, the state capital, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Kogi, Bode Ogunmola described as “humiliating and condescending”, the assigning of junior minister to Kogi State in a, “c-grade, if not d-grade” ministry, stressing that Kogi State never had it so bad under successive PDP administrations. He said; “Under former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Kogi State manned the Police Affairs, Industries, Health and Justice Ministries in that order, following the appointments of Gen David Jemibewon, Chief Kola Jamodu, Prof Eyitayo Lambo and Chief Bayo Ojo (SAN), respectively.”Ogunmola recalled that much as the Yar’Adua/Jonathan administration between 2007 and 2011 could not guarantee senior cabinet ranks for Kogi ministers, Chief Gabriel Aduku and Humphrey Abah, they functioned in the, ‘A-Grade’ portfolio as Health, Interior and Police Affairs ministers at various times. But truly, the guy made the most excellent performance at the screening before the National Assembly. So partially, PDP KOGI State seems to have made a whole lot of sense in this. Their high hopes and aspirations may have been dashed. 2 Likes |

Forget it! Even with the then juicy portfolios, what did they achived with it. Am from Kogi state and from the side that produced police affairs, industrie, health and justice. These men couldnt achieved tangible thing. Jemibewon for example was minister of police affairs and there is no police station in his village. Eyitayo Lambo couldnt facilitated a befitting general hospital to kogi west. The same can be said of d duo of Bayo Ojo and Kolawole Jamodu. Bode Ogunmola himself was a wasteful commissioner of information back then. So to me, PDP have no say when it comes to developmental issues in Kogi state. 5 Likes |

I was really impressed by the Prof at the screening. Frankly, I expected a better role for him in the administration. |

shojhdgk: As a student and follower of Buhari, can you please let us know why he is the best president so far? I need to know those wonderfully things he has achieved since the baton of leadership was given to him. Let us know that his students are not daft by presenting his achievements logically! |
