Anyone who is still romancing the carcass of GEJ/NOI economic framework should read the inscription on the tombstone of Global Recession, 2008. it was memorably etched by Prof Paul Krugman Nobel Prize Winner in Economics. "WHY DID ECONOMISTS GET IT SO WRONG? MISTAKING BEAUTY FOR TRUTH "
www.mobile.nytimes.com/2009/09/06/magazine/06Economic-t.html?referer=

For "it is too long crowd" Krugman used the recession to demonstrate the colossal failure of economists over reliance on the theories of: perfect market and perfect bureaucrats. He advocated Keynesian model of strategic stimulus by public institutions.

Having said that here advantages of Mrs Kemi Adeosun.

1. She is not fettered to the ball and chain of NOI failed school of thoughts: perfect market.

2. She will be a team player not a "can-do-no-wrong" coordinator of the economy.

3. She won't be obligated to feed corrupt cronies

4. budget is zero based. as against unjustifiable " recurrent' nay "recurring " expenditure.

5. There is no illusion of "awoof" oil money. hence no white elephant projects. no confab delegates collecting 12 million naira for sitting or sleeping.

6. Global goodwill for public accountability. this does not mean bond chasers will not run away. but the real sector will witness greater FDI.

NOI cannot and could not make impactful and sustainable progress because her economy philosophy has proved to be abysmally fallacious.

Of course we do not expect anything but praise from the maggots of economic decay under NOI

In my opinion, this is the most important point and this is the exact issue which messed NOI up. NOI was mandated against her will to feed a lot of corrupt FG cronies; and of course being a part of the govt, she was also mandated to cover them up.

Complete and utter rubbish
NOI, for a start, is an ardent believer in free market policies and a competitive market that leans more to the promotion of SME's and startups. She frowned at monopolistic markets

* NOI supported policies that were inclusive and at a grassroots level, which allowed for the contributions of everyone, irrespective of their political, ethnic and religious affiliations. It is on record that she is the first finance minister to publish the FAAC accounts on a monthly basis. Kachukwu has recently taken this initiative a step further

* NOI was known for turning her back on those infamous middlemen who are known for taking a kobo out of every naira made by the government. Kemi, on the other hand is seen as a stooge and conduit pipe for a onetime President of Nigeria(OBJ). It is common knowledge that under her stewardship as the commissioner for finance in Ogun state, there was a lot of intentional financial mismanagement

* Until the Zero budget is applied and it has ran for the period of four years, we can't truly know the merits and dismerits of it. The TSA has recently showed some flaws, despite how celebrated it was prior to its inception

* It is in the period of lack and recession, that financial misappropriation and economic blunder is most prevalent

* If you think that JP Morgan and Barclays will not affect us, then you are living in the stone ages. Try running a business without any online advertisement and judge its progress alongside a business with FB, twitter and Instagram accounts, and see the difference
I would suggest you read Adam smith's "Wealth of nations" before making any claims.

Why are you people always anchoring your judgment on feelings?

The lady is certainly going to learn on the job, having no requisite experience for the office. While this may not be bad on its own, experimenting with the country's economy at this time is very dangerous.

They can appoint someone with better experience to put her through while the country stabilizes, and then she can take charge at one point or another.

Let's not always be using 'feelings' without rational basis.

Can't see where 'feelings' on Buhari is leading the country?

Yet, there's no rational explanation on the direction of the country now other than more 'feelings' - that things 'might' get better.

This is certainly not risk taking, it's gambling. Risk taking involves some elements of quantitative and qualitative assessments, gambling is based on feelings/luck/probability.

Nations' economies are not run on feelings.

"complete utter rubbish" since this is the starting point of your education, you should accept it as a valid counterpoint! any drug you take to cure malaria and you still have head ache fever is nothing but snake oil. same thing with economy. any policy that leaves you with high unemployment ratio is total sham.
www.informationng.com/2014/06/80-of-nigerian-youths-are-unemployed-cbn-official.html

According to CBN 80% of Nigerian youths were unemployed in 2014. between 2004 and 2015 NOI was the finance minister for at least 10 years. even if she brought wall street and Breton woods to Nigeria, once the symptoms of economic woes are still there, it is, in your words, utter rubbish!
