Horror CCTV footage shows moment man 'pushes woman into moving Tube train'

Shocking CCTV footage has captured a man allegedly pushing a woman into the side of the moving Tube train on the London Underground .

Yoshiyuki Shinohara, 81, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the incident on the Bakerloo Line platform at Piccadilly Circus just before 4.10pm on November 10.

In the video, the man appears to approach the woman from behind, before apparently pushing her into the side of one of the carriages.

She is then flung back on the platform by the force of the train before concerned commuters rush to her aid.

The victim was later hospitalised with minor injuries including grazes to her face.

Japanese pensioner Shinohara, of no fixed address, appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates Court charged with attempted murder of the woman and offered no pleas.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Blackfriars Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on November 25.
