Gtb is recovering, hope it extends to diamond bank

Hi guys,

I was 29 yrs when I wrote the db test now I'm 30, my fear is if this recruitment process gets to January 2017 before we are are called for interview, i will be 31.
Do I stand any chance?

But just like chimax1 said , as long as we were qualified when we took the test, we are good.

I pray God answers our prayers and we are called soon. Still hopeful.

Hopefully it will be worth the wait in the end.

Hi guys,

I know the wait has been long. Let's not get ourselves too worried though. The country is hard for everyone, including the banks. And this is not the first time DB GT's have been kept waiting that long. One thing we can be sure of though is that DB will not employ any other GT's until they absorb all the successful candidates they have on file. In the meantime, let us move on to and focus on other things. And if by the time DB calls us in, we've moved on to better things, that will be their loss and not ours. Let's keep our chins up. Cheers.

My people better forget Diamond bank and forge ahead wit your lives. If God touches dem to call u guys in future, good. But am not sure dat Diamond bank that i extremely know can do dat. Well, I cannot question your decision. I feel the purpose of this tread is to inform those participating in the recruitment exercise now and maybe afterwards. The idea of creating another group for me to perform same function isn't the best. As for been viewed by god knows who, there is no information you have given thus far that is privileged...

naah from experience during recession there is always sack to cut cost hence the vacant spaces will be occupied by new or lower level staff who will be paid less compared to those previously occupying those positions

Well, if they opt to employ lower level staff, other than new (which they most likely would do since that would mean more cost savings), it's still bad news for us anyways..

what if they intend to pay the new staff lower than the low level staff? Or don't you know once they promote the low level tradition demands some increase in pay should follow....anyway hope, pray, fast...

Yes, but you forget that new staff cost more because they have to be trained. And training costs money. There are so many other cost implications of hiring new staff over promoting existing lower level staff.I'm not saying we should be pessimistic, but we gotta look at the facts logically. I'm all about hope, sure, but I'm all about logic too.

naaah they already have a structure for training...moreover the cost of training will only have a short term effect can you compare it to increasing staff salary (with other benefits attached) which will have a long term effect? Hmmm? Do the math, now tell me what you think
