Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of masterminding the deaths of Obafemi Awolowo, notable Nigerian leader and Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, former governor of Bayelsa state. Awolowo died in 1987, while Alamieyeseigha passed on last month. Appealing to Nigerians to join him in “shaking dictatorship off Buhari”, Fayose said the president should be held responsible if anything untoward happens to Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser. Fayose protested the refusal to allow Dasuki seek medical attention abroad despite the court order which granted him the permission. “President Buhari seized late Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s international passport and prevented him from travelling abroad for medicare in 1985, thereby leading to his untimely death of 1987,” read a statement issued on Fayose’s behalf by Lere Olayinka, his spokesman. “Buhari also hounded former Bayelsa State Governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, to death all in the name of fighting perceived political opponents. “Therefore, it has become necessary to raise the alarm that nothing must happen to Dasuki. “The fate that befell Awolowo in 1985 must not be allowed to befall Sambo Dasuki in 2015 and Nigerians must rise against this Buhari’s dictatorship and his instrument of oppression, Lawal Daura. “The Department of State Services (DSS) placement of the former NSA under house arrest despite court order that his international passport be released so that he can travel abroad for medical treatment is wicked, inhuman, dictatorial and a clear attempt to deny him of his rights to life as enshrined in the Constitution of Nigeria. “Nigerians, especially men of the judiciary, must join hands to shake dictatorship off the body of President Buhari and his hatchet man, Alhaji Lawal Daura. “Nigerians, who fought late General Sanni Abacha to a standstill, will fight this emerging Buhari’s ‘militocracy,’ which is a clear threat to our hard-earned democracy.” Follow us on twitter @thecableng

there is no truth in what he said. He actaully feeds on the report released by foreign media few days ago. There are lots of work to do in Ekiti state which can he engage himself with. He is lucky that this is not military era.

there is no truth in what he said. What does truth connote? Does he have any concrete evidence to back his claim? If Fayose thinks that spewing trashes like this would turn the minds of the yorubas against Buhari led government, then someone needs to wake him up from his slumber. He is actaully feeding on the report released by foreign media few days ago. There are lot of works to do in Ekiti state which can he engage himself with rather than exposing the magnitude of his ignorance about being a decent, civilised and a responsible opposition leader.
I expect some decency of manners from him as a democratically elected governor so he should stop behaving like a tout and stop bringing disgrace to the yoruba race.
