Firstly, we don't need to drag the issue to the point of debating religions here. Because the topic centres on Ban of Hijab only. Hence, I won't comment on Religious differences/ or political inclination of the existing religions in Nigeria.

Be it as it may, Banning of Hijab is clarified by the DG if I could recall (Long Hijab). So, can we infer that Kape Hijab is accepted at NYSC Camps? In my opinion Short Hijab doesn't pose security treat neither Long Hijab. However, with the spate of Suicide Bomber, exploring the use of Long Hijab to their callous/heinous crime, a review of Hijab patterns and usage becomes necessary. Remember as a Muslim it is your duty to protect lives of Non-Muslims objectively/in accordance to Islamic tenets.

Also, the choice of words matters as well. I think the use of "Suspend in the Interim" might delivered the message well rather than the use of "Ban". Again, the DG could also write to some Islamic societies, communicating the over all objectives for the interim suspension of Long Hijab and other Hijabees that could be accepted in the camps. He could collaborate with the Muslims staff of NYSC. He shouldn't take it as a whole military affair here. This shouldn't be mistakenly understood as if he is taking "ORDER" from Civilians but rather a Security Collaboration effort.

Conclusively, Islam teaches Morality and I think other regions do too. But to what extend do others adhere to their religious tenets (Dress Code) is a question for millions to answer? The status of our Nationhood today is an indicator of the level of our "faith". We should all call for moral dressing and behaviors especially within our female folks. What we see in an average Nigerian female dressing depicts immoral or better still NUDITY. Even, among the female working class of our workforce; Mini-Skirt, Mini/Harmless Gown, Tight-Fitted "Bombom" Trousers especially average Nigerian female bankers. And yet we complain of Rape! I'm not in support of "ANY REASONS" whatsoever from a Rapist nor am I in support of any form of dressing all in the name of "Freedom of Expression (Dressing)". We should all go back to Anatomy of Male & Female. We can never beat NATURE neither can we Run Away from it.
