My friend God does not smile to people who try to fight His anointed, God only has the power and He wants people to leave the condemnation or judgement of His servants to Him alone, if u can recall wen aaron and others were against moses and thye were judging n condeming him despite d fact that what moses did was not right God still punish all ACCUSERS OF MOSES, if u can still remember datan, Kora and abiram

My friend that u are a professor of bible or highly learned does not mean u will be able to inteprete Gods word as it should, because God is spirit, His Word is also Spirit and Life, so therefore their is no Higher Institution that is greater than God the church belongs to God and not for the pastor. The Church being a devine and spiritual establishment of God does not bow under the establishment of the world. ......... Hope God open ur spiritual eyes to understand dis

I only showed you plain black and white what bible says concern the church submitting to authorities. Please tell us where in the bible the Church should disobey constituted authority

Tell us where Jesus disobey constituted Authority ?

To begin with, God places a high value on authority because He is the one who created it. The Bible says that all authority comes from and originates with God. He is the absolute source of authority in the universe, and has delegated His principle of authority to mankind to maintain order in the world. “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves” (Rom. 13:1-2).

God’s Word says that followers of Christ should be obedient to secular laws and government, because according to scripture, secular authority is intended to be a “minister of God for our good” (Rom. 13:4), and serves His purpose of keeping law and order on the earth (1 Pet. 2:14-15). The Apostle Paul wrote, “...submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good” (1 Pet. 2:13-14).

The Concern with Authority

Authority must be understood by every Christian since it is the entire basis of our relationship with Christ. “Authority” means “the right to command and enforce obedience.” When we accept Jesus Christ as our “Lord,” this means that He is supposed to become our “boss” or “authority” over our whole life (Luke 6:46). In addition, the Bible becomes the source of authoritative instruction for our Christian Life (2 Tim. 3:16).

Since submission to authority is basic to Christian Life, it is important that we understand that all authority is a God-given institution, and all types of authority are related. The Lordship of Christ is the highest source of authority that we must answer to (Matt. 28:18), but God has also ordained at least three other categories of subordinate authority in the world that we must also submit to:

(1) The Family - Children are to obey their parents (Eph. 6:10). The wife is to cooperate with her husband, which is the head of the family (Eph. 5:22-24, 1 Tim. 2:12), and the husband is to submit to Christ and love his wife (Eph. 5:23,25).

(2) The State - We are to cooperate with those authority figures and obey the local and federal laws of the land, within the boundaries of God’s laws (1 Pet. 2:13-14).

(3) The Church - Christians are to submit to the headship of Christ which is exercised through His Spirit (Rom. 8:14), His Word (2 Tim. 3:16), and Church leadership (Matt. 18:17-20, Heb. 13:17).

God has established these authorities as the “delegated” extensions of His authority. If we resist cooperation, we are in effect, resisting God’s own authority and Lordship. This is why Paul told wives to submit to their husbands “as to the Lord” (Eph. 5:22).

TRUTHSURE:
This is a transfer of aggression. Most Churches register as a non proft orgnization which I belive is the same with the Nigerian Church in SA and by so doing, they are not required to disclose their financial statements to the public etc. This cannot be otherwise accept there's change in appropriate law addressing it.

Please sir, which law says churches, mosques, shrines, NGOs even though non-profit should not disclose their financial statements to the government aka "public"?
Kindly share credible reference/source

If they do not provide the statements to the government, how will their CONTINUING status of non-profit be determined
How?

Now this is what I call dumb; she'll soon be outta a job; then few years time, she'll be a candidate at their healing school. They probably mad at the guy because a Nigerian has the biggest congregation in SA...lol. You can't be selective they need to ask all the churches in their country to do the same. Isn't the same country that Lucky Dube got killed because of a cell phone? Don't blame them, blame your stup1d govt.

Romans 13:1-5 ESV

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.

Titus 3:1 ESV

Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

1 Peter 2:13-17 ESV

Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

Churches should be taxed. It's not a crime. No one ytrying to fight God. Our Lord Jesus pays tax to the got by asking Peter to go get money in fish mouth. Why are we interpreting this as witch hunt against the church. Truth be told. If the government decided to tax or know how church income is spent, I see nothing wrong in it. Pastors are not God neither do these tithe and offerings to God directly in heaven.

We can split hairs on this from now till 2099 but the fact is that we must neither quote the word out of context nor interprete it subjectively.

That being said, there should be clear separation of Church and State recognized; it's an inconvenient symbiosis if i may say.

The Church being a spiritual organism infused with the zoe life of God as well as being under the Direct leading of the Holy Ghost does not mean it must not coexist with the extant rules of the land as long as they don't violate the spiritual tenets, beliefs and leadings of the Church.

We are to be law abiding etc but that does not mean the State has powers to prescribe how the Christian faith ought to be practiced.

Things only start getting difficult when however the State is able to discover certain ethical grounds on which to fault the church movement. Then the parleying has to get to a whole new level, and why? Because there are things at stake. Issues like Religious Freedom is at stake.

Methinks if snake worshippers etc could be free to walk around freely, free thinkers freely doing their "mental tinkering", teenage girls bearing their little boobies (yuck, yuck, yuck undecided!!!) freely for all to oogle while we also heard that one or two S.A badt guys have wedded 2 or more ladies in a single ceremony. Then, South Africa should be evolved enough to leave church folks free to put their money where their mouth is or wherever they feel the need to put it, ok?

If there are allegations of fraud, investigate it; if not, then back off and go scavenge your IGR elsewhere.

South Africa might actually benefit more from a national attitude change.
Killing people nationally, in deafness to International pleas with Police smirking in the background in Xenophobic attacks in one year and by November of that same year, you wanna start picking on Churches. Is it because the hoodoo, spell casters, witchies and Swazi-wizards they so nationally favor are not generating enough dough. Sorry Chaka, you can't take my bread!

Most of the churches they'll target will be Oversee'd by foreigners especially Nigerians, you'll see.

Cunny Zulu brutes, they're already looking for ways to HELP MTN GENERATE THEIR NCC FINE MONEY!

May be i should quickly tell u tht God is God, which means He can do whatever He likes and no one can question Him, and as well Gods revelation for individual churches may differs but they are all heading toward one goal, other churches may comply is good for them, but His own revelation shows clearly that when it comes to church of God it belong to God who is the Highest authority, if they questuon pastor chris personal account how money comes and go out no problem because it is his own and carry his personal name and he is under authority to surrender to them, but when it come to the church of God is no more his own it belongs to God Who is higher and no one can question abt how d money is spent except God alone because the momies were not giving to Pastor Chris but was given to God, so they can only question God on the Issue of Gods church and the money.... I jus hope God is opening ur eyes more to the light of HIS SPIRIT. SHALOM, BLESS U
