Na wa oo.After all the shakara..You guys would've continued using force, sharing their petrol to the foolish citizens who voted in illiteracy against education!Since Buhari and his government is not willing to pay them the subsidy and the arrears owed them, the marketers have decided to be on their own, import petrol and sell with a price to make profit as every other businessmen. If you don't like the price,go to Aso rock and get a free petrol from the dullard y'all voted in!!! 2 Likes |

The Minister told Vanguard that the suspension of the meeting was at the instance of the oil majors, saying, “The meeting was pushed forward to a future date because about three out of the five managing directors of the major oil companies were out of town.”So Nigeria is now at the mercy of these marketers? This is a more reason the subsidy policy must end. Let's have an open market system with PPPRA regulating the price(like it's obtained in diesel) and DPR ensuring enforcement. It is a shame that Buhari government is taking this route. |
Re: Fuel Scarcity: VP To Plead With Marketers by TonyeBarcanista(m): 5:42am On Dec 01, 2015 |
benpedro:What is this one saying? So don't you know that these marketers are defrauding the system, using scarcity as a tool to blackmail government because people like you will always play politics with the nation's predicament and not appreciate the problem? Sometimes, we(masses) are part of our problem. The marketers are notorious for demanding illegitimate payment. Who verify their claims? The last time Yar'adua ordered for the investigation into the N675billion subsidy claim by marketers in 2009(after paying the money of course) he fell sick later and died eventually. Yes, Yar'adua couldn't understand why subsidy claim will be that high. Sadly, he died without seeing the report of the investigation. When Jonathan government decided to question the rationale behind the N159billion demand by marketers as exchange rate differencials, the marketers held him to the jugular by creating scarcity of the product in April/May. Now this... What is the open market cost of the product? Is it N200 per liter? Why can't they call for end of subsidy and sell their product @ N100 per litre, which is more than the Open market estimate? 1 Like 2 Shares |

So they are now pleading? I still think that if APC had supported GEJ and acted as good opposition and not using propaganda to steal power Naija would have been a better place.. APC just used lies to deceive Nigerians.. They knew subsidy existed and the marketers were the thieves which GEJ knew and tried removing the subsidy, instead they sponsored the protests and called subsidy scam.. Nw they are begging the marketers.. Except the few months leading to the exit of past Govt, GEJ's govt witnessed absence of fuel scarcity for a good part of his five years (festive periods inclusive). How come GEJ/ Deziani didn't go about blaming marketers and Nigerians? Wouldn't it be wise that the new govt take a clue from the previous? Why plead with marketers? This new govt obviously has no plans. |

After they must have arrest the present issue of fuel scarcity, FG should try to investigate the petrol marketers and the NURTW. Why is it that whenever festive period approches, fuel will suddenly becomes scarce. |
Re: Fuel Scarcity: VP To Plead With Marketers by Nobody: 6:48am On Dec 01, 2015 |
Why plead? I do not think this story is true. If these criminals called marketers are truely withholding fuel then army should be sent in to bring out and distribute the fuel that they are hoarding. Then the marketer should lose its licence to distribute fuel. Abeg this is not rocket science. |

TonyeBarcanista:If you believe that this government is blackmailed, what do you think of the travails of the imediate past government? Was it blackmailed too or was it cleuless as chanted by the APC chieftains and supporters? If someone hit hard on the ineptitude of this government to curtail this false capitalist econoy, then they deserved it. |

Re: Fuel Scarcity: VP To Plead With Marketers by Nobody: 9:48am On Dec 01, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista:The Marketers are part of the masses. The Government gave the masses the chance to drive the economy and that is what they are doing. The masses fend for themselves and that is what the marketters are doing. It is survival of the fittest and competition is the only way to survival. The Government has been biased by giving a minute fraction of the masses the right to this products and they are making use of the monopoly give to them. It is the duty of the government to modify the rights of these people should it be found to be unfavourable to the larger masses. The marketers are not going to change ut government can modify their right to make them compete with a larger individuals or government can take back the responsibility of inporting these produce and learn in th process, how to make it abound by producing them locally. Its all Governments to do. 1 Like |
