Judges are LORDs in their court yards ... they choose the dates at their convenience. Forget about the fact that it is a profession and public service...that is mere protocol...in actual fact... you need to picture judges as the roman emperors of ancient days...with all those powers.... However....with a bit of common sense...it is very understandable that a man who is grieving over the death of his father may not be in a stable and proper state of mind to adjudicate over matters brought before him. Judges are meant to be light headed and free minded otherwise they may draw sentiments in, hence the adjournment. |
