The Governor of Bayelsa State and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Mr. Seriake Dickson, Sunday morning, reportedly forced his way into the collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Onopa, Yenagoa LGA.

The Sylva/Igiri Campaign Organisation (SICO) said Dickon stormed the place at about 11pm Saturday night and threatened to ‘deal seriously’ with agents of the APC, Chief Werinipre Seibarugu, former Deputy Governor and Mr. Fortune Panebi, State Publicity Secretary of the APC.

SICO’s Director, Media and Publicity, Chief Nathan Egba said the action of Dickson was clearly against the electoral law as he had no authority as a candidate to go to the Yenagoa Collation Centre especially as he was not from the LGA.

He alleged that the governor, who threatened to deal with the two APC agents, was at the collation centre to manipulate results being collated from different wards in Yenagoa.

He said: “The APC agents were said to have countered the moves by the PDP to manipulate the results that had been turned-in before some aides to the Governor alerted him of the developments at the Yenagoa Collation centre.

“The APC decided to raise the alarm and place the information in the public domain as the Governor’s desperation in the face of imminent defeat is such that he is ready all electoral laws”, he said.

He said fresh reports further indicated that the governor early morning in Sunday led a large delegation to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, to protest against the rescheduled election.

He said: “Governor Dickson is from Sagbama Local Government Area and has no basis going to monitor conduct of an election in another Local Government Area on an election day in line with the electoral guidelines.

“This is clearly an act of desperation by the Governor, who is the candidate of the PDP in the election.

“Dickson, in company of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Kombowei Benson, who is from the LGA reportedly met with INEC officials on the ground and told them not to go ahead with the poll.

“The INEC officials had reportedly told the Governor, he had no powers to stop the election.

“Governor Dickson was the chief sponsor of violent attacks in most of the communities.”

The apc guys wants to manipulate the result. That ua why up till now the results from different collation centres have not been announced. Had it been that the apc was leading you would have seen results everywhere.

Dickson still jittery after all his song of victory yesterday. What a shame. Time will tell! !!

When your enemies are after you, it doesn't matter if you built a house made of gold for the people, they will use everything within their reach to unseat you. Dickson and indeed Bayelsans should shine their eyes and use everything possible to resist this useless Islamic party.

U have time for these people. They released fake results yesterday so that they can make this accusation of rigging wen the real results are announced by inec showing Sylva leading.I predicted this their game y/day and some pple laughed it off.
Watch as Bayelsa becomes violent in the next couple of days as the pdp agents, state officials and paid online soldiers whip up sentiments that the official results are cooked up.

Even the person you are quoting knows you are saying rubbish. Obviously you are not in Bayelsa but he is and knows that APC has lost majority of the LGAs. All that remains is just the battle for southern Ijaw LGA.

Hence the results are not fake

APC should know that Bayelsa is not in North or SW were they can impose somebody on the masses.

It became clear that APC was submitting results already written as far as Friday night in hotels in Yenagoa and PH with incident forms to back it up. They are smuggling it in with the aid of INEC and law enforcement agencies at the Yenagoa collation centre...the results announced at polling units were not tallying with what is submitted in collation centre. At Okaka the corp member was counting and PDP was winning with high margin when IKEOHA an APC chieftain stumped the area in a black Jeep and carried the election materials and ordered the adhoc staff to follow him. Dickson trashed Slyva in Yenagoa from Onopa down to igbogene, famgbe, biseni and other riverine of yenagoa except down yenagoa (Swalli, Gwegwe, Obele and Harbour rd) were cultists sympathetic to their leader Sylva was causing mayhem.

This morning the FRCN (radio Nigeria) reporter was tell their Bayelsa decide studio...that electorates in Southern Ijaw LG were saying that election should not hold today Sunday as the security of materials and ppl is not guaranteed yet...the reporter argued that the security personel was on ground when militants stormed the area and caused havoc unabated, the police was over powered by the militants and response to call for reinforcement was too slow

Interesting thing here is that APC is insisting that election continues of such situation while PDP and the masses are saying that calm should return first so WHO is SPONSORING the attackers?

Update:
1. PDP in a press release yesterday claimed that the Militants that attacked and disrupted elections in Southern Ijaw were escorted by Nigerian law enforcement agencies and was lead by a known militancy don (Henekin Lokpobiri; the minister of state for Agric) for electoral gains by APC.
2. Two of Henekin junior brothers were seen in fake Nigeria Army Uniform during the attack in the house of one of the PDP chieftain; asking after his life.
3. PDP made another release today that the same military commander that lead the yesterday attack has ordered that sensitive materials should be released to APC to thump print and return in the evening.
4. New report coming in this evening stated that the Army is unleashing mayhem on PDP supporter in Okporoma (LG Hqter) who insisted to vote.
5. An NYSC corp member that traveled from Amasoma (a border village bw Yenagoa and S ijaw; host community of Niger Delta University) confirmed that by 5pm electoral materials has not arrived there and ppl were going about their business.
6. All this stories are coherent
7. Remember that southern ijaw is the largest LG in Bayelsa and a PDP strong hold. Late Gov. DSP Alamesigha is from there. He is widely believed to have been hooded to death by APC/PMB "as even insinuated by Gov. Fayoshe of Ekiti". The masses planned a protest vote against APC in this election to press home their anger by APC led FG apparatus has lied siege on them. If genuine election is done their it is all over for APC.

The dangerous twist here is that APC online supporters unlike their PDP counterparts that will bury their heads in shame when their party misbehaves, will go on to support anti democratic and dictatorial tendencies of APC and PMB shamelessly with vigor. They are quick to tell U that PDP did it for 16yrs and theirs is just 6 months... to bad for the CHANGE merchants...
