People that don't know sh*t about legal issues are busy saying nonsense. Firstly, a police officer can ask you to come for questioning there's no need for a warrant. Warrants are meant for searches and arrest not questioning. Next, since the main suspect escaped, the occupants of that residence must be questioned either at the residence or the police station. Finally, you don't assault someone and think you would go free not to talk of a police officer. The man could face a lengthy time in jail or heavy fine since assault is involved.
