I'm not an IBB fan, I have posted many times that he's the root of the problems of modern Nigeria but let's think before we make wild statements. In 1989 Crude was an average of $15 a barrel, our production was about 1.5M a day so total sales from crude oil was at best $10B a yr which means at best govt realised $6-7B from oil per year. Where would Nigeria get $21B ( 3 years revenue) to be giving anybody at a time when we were owing creditors $20-30B?
