For embattled media mogul and chairman of African Independent Television (AIT) High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, this seems to be the toughest period of his life.

The troubled owner of one of Africa’s Largest Independent media house has found himself embroiled in the middle of the massive arms scandal concerning former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki. According to reports, Dokpesi is spending Monday night in Kuje prison because the conditions set for his bail can’t be met.

This was confirmed by one of the lawyers representing the embattled media mogul. He was further remanded to Kuje prison in Abuja, having failed to satisfy the N400 million or surety requirement for bail.

Dokpesi is facing six counts of money laundering charges for his alleged involvement with the former (NSA) National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who is currently being investigated over the arms deal scandal.
