your honest advice to This Young Family by silvoice(m): 11:11am On Dec 24, 2015
My dearest NLanders, my wedding is coming up 13th of February, 2016. So please I need those who have done their wedding to help me ans. My questions here so that I can have a successful event. My questions are:
1. Which is the best way to engage vendors eg. decorators, rentals, photographers etc. Give them advance fee now or wait maybe a week to that event. Again, is it wise to pay them complete or pay balance after the event?
2. Right now, I don't have any plan for Honeymoon. In fact, I'm thinking of resuming work at most 2days after my wedding, how did you spend your honeymoon? Is it really important for a hustler like me who does not have a regular job- I don think so? How would you advice me to spend this, maybe 48hours honeymoon, to avoid further financial expenses and not make my wife feel bored and disappointed?
Pls I need candid response from those that have done their wedding, Pls share your experiences with a brother, you never know, your might be helping a soul to succeed, just as you have succeeded.

@ the above: some people don't read before commenting. Seeking advice on a particular issue in marriage is different from marriage itself, which is a lifetime process

My sincere advice for you is to stock your house with foodstuff that can last you for a like 2-3months. It is not your wedding that is important but life after your wedding (Marriage).
Trust me family, friends and well wisher will contribute to your wedding ceremony but what happens afterward is your sole responsibility. So spend less on the ceremony.

Go to event sections ans source vendors. Lemme recommend ademiarts she was my planner and decorator. She got vendors for me at very good preices. Till date I don't even tell some Pple how much I spent on some services cos dy were incredible. And their services was on point.

Depending on ur location. If u r in lagos. Check dealdey for fine hotels on promo. Chose the one u can afford and spend the two days after the wedding ceremony there. U cAn also get discounted services such as lunch, dinner, games. Just to add fun to that 48hrs. Cos jus being in the hotel truout will be boring.

Start sourcing vendors, book but pay advance wen its close to d wedding.

HML inadvance.

Also keep a budget for everytin u want to do in ur wedding and try not to overshoot no mata how tempting. The most important tin is ur exchange of rings. No mata how much u spend on the party afterwards no one remembers one week later.

So make sure u always get a good deal from any vendor u chose.and compare prices before u chose.
