While I don't totally disagree with the post, It is important you know that everything you presently know was taught to you by someone.
Whats important is how you advance the information you are given.
I do think that the kind of education we have in Africa doesn't enhance learning.
I also think our academicians are one of those responsible for our problems as they've failed to use their knowledge to create opportunities!

A. All academicians (of African heritage) anywhere on the planet?
B. All academicians (regardless of nationality/ethnic heritage) in Africa?
C. All academicians (of African heritage) in Africa?

If none of the choices above serves your definition, please define in clear terms what you mean by "african academicians".

All Pan-African academicians ie,those that believe in africa as a heritage and yet can put uip with all the gory and backwardness of africa without exercising his or her or her academic power for pioneering a change and making a difference but rather with flimsy excuses,will  like be tutored and sheltered under the umbrella of whiteman, who with his academic and inquisitive mind,pioneered his own world that we are all blindly following today.

There are parallel ways to knowledge,but with the same fundamental principle and that fundamental principle is what is missing in africa,we are cutting the weeds from the middle instead of the roots.We are not initiating.
