You are just spewing trash.

Nzeagwu had a formal tertiary eduction before joining the Army after which he spent a year in Sandhurst.

Ojukwu joined the army as an NCO before his millionaire father exposed his education level to his British officers who will later give Ojukwu the option of leaving the army or joining the officer cadre.

Murtala Mohammed was the brains behind the 1975 coup. The 1975 coup targeted only Gowon's trusted officers as Gowon was away on official trip to Uganda.

Facts can not be twisted to meet your demented sentiments.
you are the one yarning dust.pls tell us the tertiary institution Nzeogwu attended.pls let me know the name of the institution.if you cant state it pls dont quote me again.

APCLyingBastard:

Murtala had a history of insubordination and disrespect to authority and his seniors.

Here is a man who led and participated in the counter coup of 1966 alongside the likes of Dimka to purge the army of Ibos where most of them where his superior officers.

During the war his total disrespect and non compliance to orders by his commanders will see him being recalled from the front. During the Asaba siege he attempted on three occasions an amphibious attack on onitsha against the advice and orders of his superior officers. His first attempt saw over 1,000 men and officers dead and was forced to retreat. Morale and discipline were at an all time low that the men under his command bluntly refused another amphibious attack. When word reached GOC about how bad things were under his command coupled with his refusal to not use a particular narrow supply route which led to over 1,000 trucks being destroyed by one single artillery shell ( the supply route was narrow and the convoy consisted of long trucks loaded with ammunition and fuel. A biafran artillery corps man disobeyed his superior officer not to fire the last remaining shell but he went on to do so hitting one ammo laden truck at the middle of the convoy. The narrow Road made it difficult for the remaining articulated trucks to turn around and so that is how all the vehicles got destroyed in an explosive inferno), his commanding officers had no choice but to recall him back from the front.

The man constituted a nuisance and danger to his own men and given his long record of insubordination , the very thought of him not planning a coup is like saying Dimka was not a drunk.

That incident is known in History as the "Abagana massacre", the narrow route was the old road that presently leads from onitsha to Enugu, funny enough, the Abagana/Abba Axis of that road is still narrow till date grin grin.

The Biafran hit man that pulled the hit on Murtala was Col. Achuzie (hannibal/Air raid).
After the the failure of operation hiroshima to reclaim Onitsha from Murtala, with Biafra losing a lot of mercenaries who defended the onitsha sector, "Air raid" opted not to make a direct confrontation with a more equipped Murtala rather he opted to ambush him at a narrower Abagana.
History has it that murtala mohammed was moving from Onitsha to Enugu to Assist Yaradua who was coming down from Nsukka, both were meant to rendezvous at Enugu from opposite ends to bomb Enugu the biafran capital at the time to submission.
Murtala's approved route for that mission is the present day Enugu-Onitsha express road which was bushy with cliffs at the time, will take longer but minimal risk, Murtala did otherwise.

His failure across the Niger was partly due to the ingenuity of Rosteiner the Biafran mercenary who bombed the Niger bridge, with the bridge down, It was difficult for muritalar to move troops and supplies across the River Niger. Also the blockade on the River Niger coast and absence of a long range artillery, made his job a lot difficult.
I will not put the blame on him solely because if the defence HQ had approved the strategy of operation Tiger claw for the onitsha invasion, i believe the result would be different, the fall of calabar and the lengthy battle of Onitsha painted a heroic picture of Adekunle aka Black scorpion better than Mauritala, my opinion though.

opey25:
bros, his knowledge of history is very poor. he said on another thread that nzeogwu was a university graduate. he even said ojukwu joined the nigerian army as a NCO. I think the OP still has a lot to do about his knowledge of history.

Bros you are the one who is ignorant, Ojukwu joined the army as an NCO, he wrote and spoke about it over a million times.
Stop embarrassing yourself.
Nobody knew Ojukwu was a graduate at the point of entry, it was a Briton who knew him from oxford that exposed him, however ojukwu denied knowledge of meeting the Briton which led historians to believe that the drama that led to his promotion was orchestrated by his Billionaire father.

Now go and apologise to that guy you misquoted!
