The Anambra Central Senatorial primary election conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared inconclusive by the State Publicity Secretary and Secretary- in-charge of the election.



Mr Mathhew Omegara, who declared the poll inconclusive in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Wednesday, said that it would be completed on Thursday, January 21.

The first batch was conducted in the night with four Local Government Areas (LGAs) participating.

Mr Omegara announced the result of the four LGAs with Senator Ekwunife garnering 284 votes and the second candidate, Mrs Sharon Ikeazor, trailing behind with 35 votes.

A wild agitation had earlier been staged by supporters of both candidates over the undue delay in conducting the primary election without clear reason, except for speculations about disqualification of an applicant.

The primary election was surrounded by the controversy of disqualification of one of the candidates, Senator Uche Ekwunife.

APC is a very confused party. How can you disqualify an ashawo yet not only is she running she is also winning

Nevertheless either chidoka or Victor umeh will win

Once their intended winner did not emerge the winner from popular votes cast, the election is inconclusive and the result can not be allowed to hold.

Why should you call Uche Ekwunife an Ashawo just because she defected to APC? Why do some of you Igbo men like insulting your Igbo women? I am not a fan of Uche Ekwunife but i think calling her an "Ashawo" by you Igbo men on this forum is bad because of political reasons.

Everything about APC is inconclusive.

Common Primary election with few delegates they can't conduct. Elections are going to be worst under APC because there mentality is to take it all. Just imagine election with same party selected delegates can't even conduct a mere primary election that won't take 2 hours.
