The boom was mainly under Yar'Adua before 2010 when Jonathan took over.
Shortly after the Niger Delta crude oil price started dropping hence pressure by our 36 governors to share the JOINT account of ECA.

FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct

Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.

Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."

While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.

He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

Enough of this bogus figures and bogus numbers of politicians that have stolen our monies. Oshiomole don shout taya, this one don come out come talk but so far it seems like it is only Dasuki and now Metuh that has stolen Nigeria Money. We don't want media Charade, we want action, we want to hear their name. We want the names of those people since the last 16 years and let us see how many people will be left in the APC, the party of saints.

Re: $200bn Stolen Money Stashed In Dubai —shehu Sani by Nobody: 8:01am On Jan 26, 2016
Unbelievable! Is Senator Sani referring to only liquid cash or total value of assets? Either way, it completely astounding that Nigerian citizens have invested $200bn in another country.
This revelation, coupled with the admission of a Citibank banker that Nigerians own $100bn in bank accounts at Citibank, shows that something is definitely wrong with the thought process of the Nigerian elite. A fraction of $300bn, if invested in Nigeria, would have led to the expansion of many SMEs due to the availability of funds in the banks. Thus, the unemployment level would have been drastically reduced.

Americans, Brits, Japanese, Chinese citizens, with their financial clout, aren't investing even half of that amount in a foreign country.

Buhari was in PTF/NNPC as at the time. Now do the math. Nigeria's wealth is gotten from oil. If he admits Abacha looted while notably he was in charge of oil related funds, it will mean himself and Abacha were partners in looting. Hence, his sayin Abacha did not loot.

I know some people will blame the PDP for their upbringing and therefore responsible for their corrupt tendencies. Now that they are born again (APC) ,they are already forgiven, new creatures, old things are passed away and, voila, they are now saints.
At most they will be politely requested to return whatever they can - discreetly.

They are still trying to recover $2.1 billion and now we are hearing $200 billion.

if I may ask, how long will it take this Apc Govt. to recover this new amount?

Propaganda will not help us.

For this revelation to come from someone of an independent mind like Senator Shehu Musa then the credibility of the news is unquestionable.

We can now see that the generation of the non oil revenue in our budget is far more realisable than our hope in crude oil sales.
I think we need a revolution by queuing behind PMB to engineer an 'Elitist Cleansing' irrespective of political leaning.
