Valentine Is Overrated! by Nobody: 10:34am On Feb 06, 2016
The anxiety is bubbling up for 14 feb.
A day when many guys will go through a financial exploitation and many girls will showcase their monetary gluttony all in the name of feb 14.
My question is- is Feb 14 the only day we celebrate love?
why are Nigerians overrating this Valentine of a thing?
Some say that they are celebrating Love, Is Forcing/threatning him to buy you "expensive stuff" or squandering his money on Feb 14 night, is that celebrating Love?
Why must Love wait for only feb 14 to celebrate itself?
All the same, I am not trying to put sand in anybody garri, I just aired my view.

I got a few. You know, there's lots of love in the air that day so many Nigerians set it aside, as a day to express their true feelings to their lovers.

For most Naija girls, they capitalise on it to drain potential guy(s)' pockets and improve on their gluttony skill.
They improvise all means they could come up with to squeeze some cash outta dudes cause they know the defences guys (but not all) set grow weaker that day.

Sadly, the only thing the guys get in compensation for their kind gestures - which comes once in a blue moon - are boxers & singlets.

So I can say that the ladies are the ones who take Valentine's day too seriously and they contribute less to the table.

Overrated you say? Well, I for one have never celebrated valentine before but I don't think it is overrated. It's only been used as a leverage by some.

Valentine isn't and shouldn't be the only day to celebrate love. It ought to be celebrated each time the opportunity comes but there's nothing wrong with marking a day out for that purpose.
