President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Bashir
Ahmad as his Personal Assistant on New Media.
Ahmad, 24, from Kano State made the announcement on twitter today.

Ahmad graduated from Bayero University Kano with
Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication in 2013 and was a member of the Buhari Support Organization.

He previously worked as the Online Editor for Leadership Newspaper and reporter at Rariya Hausa Newspaper, respectively.

You that is 'certificateful' do not know New Media. Is Buhari the first president to appoint someone to take charge of new media? What position was Reno Omokiri holding in Jonathan government?

By the way, new media is social media like online newspapers, webcast, blogs, Twitter, online fora like nairaland. Old media refer to traditional media like radio, television, hardcopy newspapers.

You sound like an illiterate. It was coined new media as base on the emergence of the social media use as veritable way of information dissemination and image laundering.
It's been there. Governors and even the past president GEJ appointed one. In the united states, the presidency do have such.
