What if Rule 21 were to be enforced by Moderators?

No one has ever got the stick for breaking that rule yet. I suspect rule 21 is more of an advisory and preferential imploration to grace posts with standard English than the need to keep nuisance out of threads.

But still, Some Nairalanders have taken the pain and effort to write in an enthralling manner with certain panache and precision. Their literary efforts and phraseology draped in all shades of styles are as different as their personalities.

These nairalanders either have the innateness to write in an attention-grabbing way or they slogged to develop their writing proficiency which often entertains me more than the message they seek to convey.

I have selected 10 nairlanders whose pennings have served and entertained my mental perceptions for the entire duration of my nairaland stay. I beleive good writing is a mark of superior breeding and peerage .

I should point that their entire posts/threads are not without some gramatical blemish (As are mine or anyone else's) which is to be expected given the nature associated with writing on an online platform like this; most posts are done on mobile gadgets in between daily routine of work or studies, and always with swinging epinephrine and emotional reflections.

There is little moment for proof-reading and even less for aloofness in critical appraisals for grammatical marrings.

Seasoned, professional writers have the time of luxury and materials to have their scriptings error-proofed either by themselves or professionals. No such luxury is availed a nairalander who writes post and threads in real-time and often with emotional attachments.

The top 10 phrasemakers in my subjective conclusion to have graced Nairaland in recents times are --- in the order of hierarchy:

1.. TV01 . ( Rich in clever placement of everyday words
and has a varied stock of simple and
sophisticated vocabulary)

2.. TheSonofmark (Word-generator, clever use of
compound words in depicting
situations)

3... Mizmycoli ( good narrator and logical in
composition)

4... Ishilove ( prudish and sanctimonious but a
good writer still)

5.... Mindfulness ( philosophically to the left but a
a brillaint wordsmith, argumenta-
tive still)

6..... Tonyebacarnista ( A prose specialist)

7......

8.....

9......

10......

There are a couple of Moderators who actually deserve the cut, but I do not want to expose this thread to the risk of being perceived as an attempt to kiss up to any moderator, especially after being the subject of many bans I consider ridiculous. grin grin grin

That's the DARKEST REBEL a.k.a GBADEBO Nairaland quite alright.

The dude with countless female and male monikers who woos himself.

His antics are now so obvious that even newbies can discern them.

He tries too hard to fit in _Coogar's shoes.

He claimed to be a mulatto and super-rich until his pictures were exposed. Even he couldn't negate the authenticity.

Back to the matter, Op needs to take number one spot, he is one of the best around here, my 2KOBO opinion.

I beg to differ. Ishi wasn't intimidated but she had a listening ear. I've seen people appeal bans and have them lifted and ishi was the only mod who did that. Compared to the "Abacha's" we have now, she was far better.

Sharrap there.

Tell me who appealed and I will show you a friend of Ishi. She was an Abacha to the people she did not like. This is why you will find people that praise her and people that hate her. To her friends and clique, she was a nice mod. To her e-enemies, she was wicked and unfair.

I can call on ten people right now to testify that she banned them out of spite eg

-banning for correcting her
-banning for pointing out that she is derailing
-banning for arguing against her friend.

She was a troll before being a mod and she was still a troll after being a mod.

What's brother, beleive me, I have my bitter experience with her. She gave me the most bitter ban in nairaland. I was having a duel with Lesbos and faggits, it was an open duel and when they felt I was having the upper hand, they beckon on _ishilove to ban me.

Now the funny thing is, they've been trading vibes with me and the post with which they summoned her was laced with insults and jeers. Instead of being an umpire, having observed that everyone was guilty, she singled me out and gave me a nasty long ban that didn't reflect my offence.

I mailed her seeking private correspondence to explain what went down, but she never gave me a reply. I brought the issue again openly in the romance thread, again she snubbed me. I thought seriously about trolling her then .

She banned ftboy's moniker for life for being offensive in her own self-righteousness of morality. That's as prudish as _fuck, bro.

You've got charms and it works on her. But it took the unbiased part of me to give her a mention here.

I had my fair share too bro. Even the appeals I was talking about wasn't done by me, they were done by others who were humble enough to plea their ban and I saw her lift a few.

What I gave here are my own observations as there was never a time when I and ishi were bread and butter contrary to what that fool above me is trying desperately to imply.

She banned me severally too. Thesonofmark and funlord would testify to that. I even had a face-off with her severally.

I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This is mine.

I'd be honest. There were times when _Ishilove took time out to caution me before and explain to me after a ban via email. I'd give her that much credit.

The only(?) glitch was that she was seemingly sexist and a closet feminist who let her sentiments get the better of her, most times. Like when she banned Funlord for a dispute instigated by Nneka123.

When squabbles between feminists and non-feminists occurred, the non-feminists were always getting the stick. She was the Guardian Angel of feminists. They openly boasted that anyone who countered their assertions would be banned by her and _RoyalRoy. It's no coincidence that her known e-friends are known feminists/misandrists.

The only reason why I am coming back here is to clarify this bullshit once and for all.

My so-called prudishness and self-righteous morality has nothing to with fucktoto's ban. There is a standing rule against offensive usernames which the forum owner was trying to enforce. Fucktoto, born2fuck and other allied usernames fall under this category. born2fuck was changed to born2boink, and the ones that could not be changed were put out of commission.

Usernames like BlackPeni5, bushyanus, fucktoto, bushyanus, hairyvaJina, bigvajina etc all fell under the hammer.

This is the last time I will be dignifying accusations of bias and 'self righteousness' with a response.

Yes! I remember that vividly bro.. She banned funlord but didn't ban nneka until I intervened. Yes she is partial but you can't take that away from her cos she's human like the rest of us. We would do same.

Bottom line is, ishi listens to complaints and considers. Unlike other mods who won't even read your post twice, ishi will even take out time to explain why she banned you and if the ban is very well plea'd (sweetorgasm style wink ), she'll lift it.

Alright, well spoken. My brother Synzu, just portrayed a side of you I have never witnessed here.

And for the life of me, I was never aware--until now, that there's a rule against certain monikers.

And my Sugar-candy, Eva, seems to think nicely of you too. But one thing, you should have taken the time to explain this to the affected persons behind those monikers. A lot of misunderstanding would have been avoided.

But hey, a little controversy helps, we all need it.

That PIC in your DP is dying for a smile. Why the bossy look? Are you trying to scare off toasters?

If your teeth are as bright as your eyes, then let me see the sparkle. Chase the demons than still hover around your bans with glimpse of light in your expressionless ,albeit, pretty face.
