What are the conditions for the bail out?

One of the conditions should be that the governors take a month crash course in finance and fiscal discipline organized by the FG and taught by the governor of Anambra State, Mr. Willie Obiano with guest appearance by Mr. Peter Obi.

If they can organize leadership jamboree to Europe and U.S., they should be able to pay these two gentlemen to lecture them at Awka.

Nothing less than one month.

yinmu, stop deceiving yourself. The next 3 months, i stand to be proved wrong, if oil stays at in the neighbourhood of 20usd , 35 states will go insolvent. The states will gas out soon enough, except if the IGR generated within the states surpasses what is received from the federal allocation, the bad news is,only Lagos state makes more IGR than it receives from Fed. allocation,

Look at this one, Abia was one of the states that took d first one, but right now the governor has said the finance will see him through with the plans he has.

Face ur own.

Abia requested for bail out immediately Okezie came, but right now we are doing fine, not requesting again.

We are kind of stable now.
Good that is what I love to hear

r u saying it was bad for yaradua n gej to increase minimum wage from that paltry 5000 to 18000 naira even when inflation was on the increase then n the paltry 5000 was not even enuf to tek care of their transport money to work?
must we always blame becos we hate them?
why dont u blame the govrs n those whor in charge of salary payment for the political class that includes all sort of rubbish as allowance to dem when the main people doing the work aint benefittng feom any allowance?

Let's get away from the emotional points. We all know that our politicians are thieves and that Nigerians are underpaid. However, neither problem can be solved by giving a few select Nigerians - public sector workers who make up less than 1% of the population - huge wage increases which are unsustainable.

When people wonder why the era of high oil prices were not accompanied by larger fiscal buffers to guard against an oil price slump later, it is largely because most of the oil revenue bonanza was eaten up by higher public sector costs. This is why recurrent expenditure, made up largely of personnel costs, became a laughably large proportion of our budget.

The key to tackling poverty is by generating strong economic growth. You cannot tackle poverty by simply increasing government workers pay, less than 1% of the population, whilst the rest of the population subsists on peanuts. With most of the budget going on public sector pay, where is the money for public infrastructure which will enable stronger economic growth and boost the income level of the general population?

Suffering or not, we don't flock around like lost sheeps, we have dignity and majority of us remain in our States and build it.

Its for better or worse, for richer or poorer.

We don't go to other people's place, claim we built it then call it a no man's land..
you are bound to suffer more if you don't stay off our case

Virtually all states in Naija are having liquidity problems, they are insolvent so to speak.

Osun should be merged with Anambra state

Mbanu! You only merge when entities are co-equal, otherwise it's outright acquisition, with the attendant sack of redundant staff.
So, it's a question of Anambra acquiring Osun, while they send Aregbe and his band of thieves commissioners parking. grin grin
