Three Bad Things Holding Nigeria From Developing by youngsahito(m): 3:35pm On Mar 05, 2016
– The three bad things that stunt the growth of a society will make the society to be destined for failure if these problems are extant in the society
– A large number of Nigerian youths think the country will not develop based on the level of corrupt practices that have permeated every sector of the economy and all spheres of human endeavour
– Who will expunge the problems of oppression, lying and cheating from the system of majority of Nigerians?
It is not a new thing to hear the phrase, ‘one united and indivisible nation,’ when some Nigerians speak about the country. They make this statement to show their spirit of patriotism. However, these same set of people have destroyed and are still destroying the thin fabric that holds the people of Nigeria together through the three bad things called oppression, lying and cheating. These people oppress Nigerians who have less clout as they do. Some of these so-called patriotic jingoists lead the citizens to the garden path, with the lies they tell the unsuspecting electorates especially when they seek elective positions.
In addition, social welfare packages which are meant to be distributed with equity to the citizens during disaster periods are either pocketed by them or given to their pilfering cronies.
The three problems of oppression, lying and cheating prevent a society or a nation from witnessing tangible growth and development.1. Oppression
There are so many tools used by people who oppress the less-privilege. One of the major oppression tools are
tribalism and racism. Others are starvation, genocide, terrorism and other related vices.
Nigeria has its own share of tribalism . In Nigeria today, it is not only one tribe that oppresses another one. Different people who belong to a particular status oppress the other who are less in status. The rich oppresses the poor. The educated oppresses the illiterate. This goes on and on in that dangerous cycle.
According to Allah in chapter 10, verse 44 of the Glorious Qur’an :
“Surely, Allah will not oppress any human being for whatsoever, but human beings themselves oppress themselves.” Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon his noble soul) stated that oppression is darkness on the day of judgement. He added: “Surely, Allah has made oppression forbidden for Himself and He has prohibited oppression among (yourselves) human beings. Do not oppress yourselves.”
2. Lying
Allah stated that woe unto people who tell lies in the Glorious Qur’an. However, people pretend as if they are oblivious of this part of Allah’s book, the Glorious Qur’an. Some Muslims who claim to be true Muslims are involved in telling lies. Likewise non-Muslims. Lying is one of the commonest vices in the society. Some parents teach their children subtle ways on how to tell lies. This later results in those children not trusting anyone even their parents. They could become criminals later in life.
In addition, Nigerian leaders tell bogus lies and promise what they will never fulfil when they campaign to be elected for various positions.
To show the gravity of how lying is detested by the Creator of the world, Allah mentioned 1o times in verses (15, 19, 24, 28, 34, 37, 40, 45, 47 and 50) of chapter 77 of the Glorious Qur’an that, “woe unto the liars on the day of judgement.”
Bid’ah which literally means innovation of something not done or approved by the Messenger of Allah into the religion of Islam is another way of telling lies. The Prophet warned against Bid’ah.
In a Hadith in Bukhari and Muslim, Aisha bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her), narrated that the Prophet of Allah said: “Whosoever introduces in this affair of ours (that is the religion of Islam) something that does not belong to it (Islam) is a reprobate.”
3. Cheating
The level at which cheating has eaten deep into the Nigerian market terrain is quite worrisome. Cheating is also known as insincerity, deceit or dishonesty. Allah destroyed the people of the tribe of Madyan as reported in the Glorious Qur’an because they were engaged in cheating when they do business transactions. Allah sent Prophet Shuaib to them to warn them against cheating. A large part of them ignored him and continued with their evil ways. They were later annihilated by Allah for this act.
Chapter 83 verses 1-6 of Allah’s book states:
“Woe unto those people who cheat other people by reducing scale. When those people collect and buy their measurements, they collect them fully. However, if they want to measure their products and sell to other people, they reduce the measurements. Is it that those people do not know that surely, they will be resurrected? On the day of judgement. ”https://www.naij.com/753170-yft-nigeria-will-not-develop-three-bad-things-persist-country.html

Federal Character(---- give access to product of Quota system to work in a wrong place where they are not suppose)

Religion extremism(Islam = -- infidel don't have right to life and they are not to rule over Muslims)

Quota system( SS/SE/SW children must need 99.9% to enter federal schools while All the Northern children need only 1% to enter federal school)

Parasitaemia and foolishness (All the northern state and SW state dash monkey their common sense and depend on SS/SE oil well instead of them to use their brain and human resources to develop what is available in their land)

THE SOLUTION FOR NIGERIA PROBLEM IS FOR ALL THE STATE TO MANAGE THEIR RESOURCES AND PAY TAX TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BUT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN BECAUSE THE MUSLIMS WILL NEVER ALLOW THAT AS THEIR RELIGION ENCOURAGE THEM TO REAP WHERE THEY DID NOT SOW, the federal government should manage the justice system, the army and police and foreign policy and allow each state to manage their resources, the competition and challenge that will born out of this is what will change Nigeria for good for ever just like it is being done in America but the north is the major problem here as they prefer to gather all the state, resources and power in one place and do everything to be in charge and control, stealing everything, backing any one that can give them access to steal or steal for them and oppressing their own poor people, keeping them in bondage for ever
