Senator Ben Murray-Bruce who represents Bayelsa East senatorial district at the National Assembly and increasingly known for his ‘Common Sense’ trend on social media which he mostly uses to assess the federal government as led by President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) thinks the APC led government deceived Nigerians.

Upon its formation in 2013 and especially in the run up to the 2015 general elections, the APC adopted the word ‘Change’ as its motto.

The ‘change’ slogan soon became APC’s rallying cry as it sought to dislodge the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from power, and the party did just that at the presidential election in March 2015.

Murray-Bruuce, elected on the platform of the PDP from Bayelsa, one of the few states where the party maintains dominance, on Saturday faulted the ‘Change’ agenda of the APC, hinting that the party misled the Nigerian electorate.

In a series of tweets, the businessman and former NTA director-general claims the APC intended ‘change’ only as the replacement of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) with President Buhari while Nigerians assumed it meant bringing about better living conditions.

His tweets below:

'It appears while they interpreted 'change' as change from GEJ, the rest of us misinterpreted change to mean improvement in our circumstances

Let us attempt to define change. If there has been positive change in your power situation favorite this. If not retweet it'.

The senator has asked questions about the state of things concerning electricity, food prices, employment and the economy, seeking to know if there have been any change

We believe in CHANGE because we believe in the dream of a prosperous Nigeria for all under the able leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
We know those who have no dream for the future but rather live on a day to day note or thrive on lawlessness and impunity are alliens to order in change.

The 'hardship' that affects both the rich and the poor to me is a true CHANGE as against the unholy accumulation of wealth by the privileged few and consequent subjugation of the common.

Situation where those who loot our common patrimony are afraid to spend their loots but rather hide in caves and fake illness as against fragrant oppression of the oppressed by the oppressors in the locust years of Jonathan to me it's a true CHANGE.

APC just used Buhari to win election but not to rule. Their game plan of using VP (Osunbade) as an unofficial President was quickly checkmated by the Hausa think tanks immediately after swearing-in.

Now some allegedly "corrupt" technocrats like Tinubu and co were sidelined due to Buhari's believed game plan by Tinubu.
Buhari as a retired military man that doesn't believe in his subordinate is having problem allowing his appointees to do their work independently.

The whole nation is suffering because of Buhari's inability to take decisive and proactive decisions that will move this nation forward. Probably because he is not technically qualified or equipped for the task, or that he blatantly refused to be prepared and groomed.

Did Buhari inherit what Obasanjo handed over to Yaradua and Yar'Adua finally left for GEJ? GEJ met billion, made billion yet he squandered everything like a prodigal son. He allowed his kinsmen, friends and relatives to suck this nation dry. He met us in surplus but left us in a pool of debts. Yet one "common sense" SINator who is the part of yesterdays rots is deceiving the gullible youths on the obvious.

If mr Bruce is really sincere, let him start x-raying the 6 yrs of the past government in relation to what Nigerians are experiencing today. It's stupid1ty of highest order for him to think he can analyze today in isolation.

It is quite incorrect to say that there is no change in Nigeria under APC government. For instance, Nigeria has never been governed before through 100% propaganda, Nigerian budget has never been padded - teaching Nigerians the real meaning of corruption. No president has ever vilified his countrymen in foreign lands as Buhari.
Under this regime, corruption is being institutionalized yet the airwaves is full of fighting corruption propaganda
This is the era of denunciation of promises.

But on a second thought, assuming we had up to $100b as reserve, then why and what will Buhari bring in as CHANGE that aided his "election". His election was packaged because he promised the gullible ones he will bring in sanity by killing corruption and not killing Nigerians before corruption.

The fact remains that, Buhari inherited a better Nigeria than where we are today and what PDP inherited in 1999.

What we are requesting is blue print and not delivering within 8 months. Tell us WHERE and HOW you will achieve your targeted goal. Not when you are heading to Warri from Ore and you are telling Nigerians you will get to Lagos before nightfall.

The simplest of the blue print "Simple budget" which is just a mere projection that is not absolute. Buhari and APC have set the record of the worst manipulated and incoherent budget in Africa. And yet, your like think we should give him more time of indecisive period to finish Nigeria.

Just feel the buhari/apc led FG wasn't ready to rule this country coz dey were preparing to thwart the govt and cause problems coz dey didn't imagine dey were gonna win. So it will take dem time to figure out what governance takes while we suffer for their ignorance!

Truly, you are a jambite. What was NTA before Senator BMB took over and in what condition did he leave it? He did for NTA what no other DG has ever done. He ensured that every state got at least one NTA station.

Did you ever watch NTA before his DGship (sorry to even ask as you may be too young to know)? It was he who improved the sound and quality of NTA broadcasts and also took NTA international.

Ask questions next time or read books and literatures to update yourself before going public. Are you not surprised that you are the only one asking about his credentials and performance at NTA? Everyone of age at that time know his pedigree in broadcasting management and administration and that's why they are not bringing it up...
