D only way dat can happen is if and when our refineries start working again and to full capacity to service d nation's fuel needs. If d govt actually gets to work and stop all the propagandist statements it's quite achievable because we've all heard our refineries were working at some point and at other points dey have reopened and then no production and all sorts of contradictory and conflicting statements from the same govt. |

A lot of work is going on in this government. But it is not easy to rebuild after destruction of the past 16 years of PDP. I have hope that in the next two years we shall start seeing a different Nigeria. |

KissCODE: This is our country we have no other place to go. Fuel import killed our economy, not the best solution when you spend most of our foreign exchange on fuel import. Give this government a chance and support them in prayer. The previous leader failed to meet our local demand with so much resource, the Oil boom @ $140 per barrel now is less then $40. |

I don't make comments about the stupidity going on in the oil industry but these people really ought to stop this deception. For heavens sake. You say you want to diversify from oil yet you continue to entrench yourselves in it. Stopping dependency on oil to me means liquidating the NNPC and getting the hell out. Dangote says he is buiding a massive refinery. Why not throw in your lot with a company of proven track record, a home grown private entity who has done it for a host of other commodities. There was a time in history cement was like petrol today, here today scarce tomorrow, cheap today, expensive tomorrow. That era is gone because government gave up the cement business. Why can't it give up the oil and gas business....if not for corruptive, manipulative interests. |

They unbundled the nonsense called the NNPC and the first and only thing you hear is not what they would do, how they will operate, what new levels of efficiencies will arise, what will change, but as usual in this joke of a country, who heads them and in typical failure mode the 'sharing' of positions (that's all they know how to do) is done by geography. Do we know who or where the CEO's of Dangote's subsidiaries come from. What about GLO, Innoson, Silverbird, etc. No one cares. We only care about products and performances. Why can't we do same for gas plants, refineries, oil blocks. Afterall when we drive to the station to tank up we don't ask where the owner or manager comes from. Government should just get the hell out of the oil industry. Rubbish people. |
