Hahaha... I just enjoy watching some of these wailers foam in the mouth whenever they hear any news concerning Nigerian leadership. It's quite amazing how people can just choose to be bitter for a prolonged period and then unwittingly suffer the negative consequences of these bitter emotions on their reasoning.

The previous government which NOI worked with only attempted to fight corruption using technology/systems/institutions (a.k.a trying to separate the goat from the yams). NOI now says Technology/Systems/Institutions PLUS the punishing of culprits is the best way to fight corruption; this happens to be exactly what the present government is doing as evidenced in the instant implementation of the TSA, the quick discovery of tens of thousands of ghost workers and the current moves being made to apprehend and punish the culprits. But unfortunately, no thanks to hateful emotions, the grey matter in the skulls of most vocal wailers has since expired so they cant even comprehend the simple statement made by the woman.

We're still using NOI template, when did Kemi come up with any policy?
We all know the padded corruption laden first budget under Kemi.
Watch as Kemi is demoted back to being a state finance commissioner, she took a job above her skill level.
But we need to interview this woman, how she manage our crude oil sales at $100 + under her watch.

Right advice, but from wrong source.

I hate it when people give 6 minutes advice on issues they would have solved in 6 years.

madam puff puff, thanks for the belated advise, madam kemi have been plugging the holes by eradicating ghost workers and even suspended the madam that has been earning 60m monthly even under your supervision. If you were doing same when you were in office, we would have better of today.

Anyway thanks once again
Thanks for the compliments. .. ..

This is rich coming from NOI. A woman that was given the opportunity twice to make a difference and yet she not only watched corruption thrive under her nose, she also enabled it.

She can give her advise to the Marines.
Re: Okonjo-iweala Advises On How To Handle Corruption by Laid2001: 2:21pm On Mar 22, 2016
Madam mentioned two things

1. We have to fight corruption in two ways; one is by punishing those who steal, and making sure they pay for what they do. This is why PMB has yielded to her advise by his anti corruption probe and suits against the likes of Dasuki, Metuh, Oronsanye etc...

2.But we also must plug all the holes by building institutions and systems that prevent corruption in the first place. Just again like PMB have enforced implementation of the TSA and BVN in fighting corruption and taking off 34,000 ghost workers from the payroll and blocking many phantom transfers to individual accounts in the name of government.

The boys in the assembly and legislature are the same old corrupt thieves in PDP and APC. If you plug the leak holes, they will open it up like rats. If you use computerise, they will sabotage the computer or circumvent the process so it will not function. This is what is happening to our 2016 budget, that is why is not yet out.

it's a pity that Robot from East has taken over Nairaland. how will human reason like this? it's a pity that Eastern part of Nigeria is not having any future leaders again. that is why you are going backward in Nigeria politics. Robot everywhere

Mrs NOI, why can't you give such advice to Jonathan during your time. useless woman seeking attention from Buhari..

Robot is far better than your damaged and dead cerebrum. What correlation has what she said got to do with Eastern part of Nigeria?

Can't you atleast hide your ethnic biasness and bigotry and view issues on the prism of objectivity?

It's quite pitiful for this show of shame, shallow mindedness, bigotry, hate, and acrimony.

Irredeemably pathetic!

Bros,

on credibility scale, as a Finance minister that suprintended over the monumental heist in Nigeria's history, she is not in a position to offer advise on curbing corruption. Even at that, what she reportedly said are so generic.........like these have been done even before my almost 2decades worklife, yet corruption still persists.

She is talking about e- in all government transaction
And what do I mean by e-
e- is simply using technology to render service to Nigeria, whether is FGN to State Government, FGN to Business, FGN to Citizens etc.
And how does this help to fight corruption.
Briefly, in the area of getting a new passport or renewal of passport, since the National Identity Card has someones information, if the person is going to either get a new passport or renew the passport, the issue of supplying all those required document before the passport office will not attend to person, except those document are produced will be eradicated since by typing your name into passport office PC, everything about you will appear.
The same will happen in any office you visit in future.
Thereby saving you money for tip off to those officers
Saving you time
Making doing business in Nigeria stress-free
And many more benefits
Using tech in areas of governance, like e-procurement, e-passport, e-banking, e-port clearance, e-driver license, e-vehicle paper renewal and others, the face to face meeting where money exchange hands will be reduce a great level, thereby saving us Billions yearly
Tech alone can catapult us from this zero level to 1st world country in less than 5 years if will are ready to do the real work
Though is capital intensive to start
I rest my case

What you've stated speaks more to process efficiency and not curbing corruption

It's unfortunate you lack respect and regards for elders. What gave you the temerity to insult a woman whom none of your family members or your 10 generations to come can measure up with her or her successes. Learn to share your opinions without insult especially to elders
