People often wonder why America is the greatest country in the world. The reason it is, is because it creates opportunities for it's citizens to prosper. You want to start a trucking business? The government has already created the opportunity by building good roads. You want to start a youtube channel? The government has made power available 24 hrs a day. There is a reason why almost all the great inventions in the world were invented in America. The funny thing is, most of the inventions were not invented by Americans but by people from other countries who came to America. They were able to use the opportunities in America to make their works easy. Thomas Edison is credited with making the light bulb possible, but it was Nikola Tesla who made electricity possible for everyone. He was Austrian and he did it in America. Nigerians don't understand the concept of CREATING OPPORTUNITY. Instead of creating opportunities for it's citizens, the government is busy looting and squabbling. God help una.

Am even surprised he is making these kind of statements on his performance here in nigeria as opposed to going abroad to do so as he has become accustomed to doing. This president has not respected nigerians in any way with the kind of statements,actions and inactions of his govt in the last couple of months. Suffering has increased in the land and all the excuse he can give is to blame the previous administration. I ask was the previous administration responsible for his govt's monetary policy that has been causing many businesses to close down and existing ones sacking staff to keep afloat? Was it responsible for its hurried reduction in ministries,mdas and perm secs even before it could study things well which showed in the shoddy way the budget was put together? How about power thats at an all time low or resurgent fuel queues everywhere since this govt came to power? This govt should just shut up and deliver already

For you now 3 trillion will be more useful for the nation if politicians and civil servants are allowed to embezzle it than when the federal govt is in custody of it. IDidyou fail to read the portion where the president said the national assembly would make the necessary legislation for the money to be used as and when necessary?

The President added: “When we came in after 16 years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), there were 42 ministries. We reduced them to 24; removed 21 Permanent Secretaries.

So, imagine the volume of work …So, you have to appreciate the position we are in”.

Tell me where he said is an achievement?? At least we should think with an iota of sense when it is necessary nt always being prejudice all the time.

He is emphasizing on the complex of works by the ministries which will take time to blend with.

Nigerians have heard this tune before. Indeed, Mr Buhari tried something similar the last time he was president. Then, as now, he resisted what he called the “bitter pill” of devaluation. When, as a result, foreign currency ran short, he rationed it and slashed imports by more than half. When Nigerians turned to the black market he sealed the country’s borders. When unemployment surged he expelled 700,000 migrants. Barking orders at markets did not work then, and it will not work now. Mr Buhari is right that devaluation will lead to inflation—as it has in other commodity exporters. But Nigeria’s policy of limiting imports and creating scarcity will be even more inflationary. A weaker currency would spur domestic production more than import bans can and, in the long run, hurt consumers less. The country needs foreign capital to finance its deficits but, under today’s policies, it will struggle to get any. Foreign investors assume that any Nigerian asset they buy in naira now will cost less later, after the currency has devalued. So they wait.

Tesla was born and raised in Austria. He could not achieve his greatness in his home country, he had to leave his country and come to America to achieve this. America had the right atmosphere to make it happen. There are more examples like he's in the history books.

It is not the US government that provided those infrastructure but the business people the US government allowed to provide those infrastructures

But in a useless country like Nigeria, the government wants to provide everything and when she can't, she refuses to handover to competent business people

The monies these clowns are boasting of in the TSA are mostly monies owed civil servants in various ministries as well as that used in the day to day running of govt agencies. Many MDAs are owing salaries from November 2015, many owing promotion arrears from 2013, training course fees and so on and so forth. Most govt institutions don't have many tools for work currently, due to the so called 'TSA'.
If really civil servants were stealing this much EFCC and ICPC would have been parading them daily as APC campaign materials

The point I'm trying to make is that this govt is very crafty. Now some of the internally generated revenue from govt agencies are used to replace equipment and for day to day running of the office like purchase of diesel to run plants in the agency. All records are open for govt auditors to verify. Many times govt gives approval for use of some of this igr for offset of promotion arrears, reimbursement for private monies used for training fees and so on. Now govt through their budget many times do not provide enough money to cover all they need to, that's why you hear of shortfalls in many areas. So the igr makes up for these. Now the govt is pretending not to recognize those shortfalls and is owing for many services and yet claiming to have saved money. By the time they pay up what they owe, what will be left will be too small to achieve much.
