It is possible to try Tinubu again as long as it was a discharge, not an acquittal. It is only in a matter of discharge and acquittal that double jeopardy comes in. Besides, there's no time limitation to criminal cases, as long as there's still evidence.

It is disheartening that many people on this thread think it is the duty of the ruling party to prosecute. Goes to show the reason why our institutions haven't developed and why we build more personalities than institutions.

It wasn't the duty of the PDP to prosecute Tinubu, it was the duty of the Code of Conduct Tribunal. If supposedly educated youth are thinking like many on this thread, the future of the nation is even bleaker.
