30 (19+11)
Re: Can You Solve This? by Gaddafithe2nd(m): 8:31pm On Apr 13, 2016
Stupedinluv:
how?
There is no plus sign connecting the first row and second also, no plus sign connecting second and third row which means 11 occurs twice.
1+1+1+1+11+1+1+1+11+1×0+1=29+0+1=30

12

Oh wait!... there are two 11's in the figures....
Therefore the correct Answer is 30 if I am not being mistaken.
Yeah, it's 30 wink

who doesn't know it is one? na wa o....... answer 1
Re: Can You Solve This? by gud4dbest(m): 8:33pm On Apr 13, 2016
Nusaf:
Since there is no plus sign btw the last 1 of the first line and the first 1 of the second line, it is assumed that the 1s are together hence 11. Same applies to second and third line. Therefore, there are two11s which sum up to 22. The sum of the first four 1s in the first line and the three middle 1s in the second line gives 7. The second 1 in the third line has been nullified by the zero. The last 1 of the third line is not affected by the zero. We now have this; 4+11+3+11+1 or simply 7+22+1 which gives 30. Oga clap for me.
I don clap nw!

him dey consider some unclear possibility
I dont know for them o because there is no plus between the last 1s in the first and second rows and first 1s in the second and third row, they assume its 11 SMH

The answer is 0
anything * 0 is 0 so plus the last 1 =1

Re: Can You Solve This? by phenfemz: 8:37pm On Apr 13, 2016
Very funny coz graduate will even fail it but right answer is 12... Follow bodmas and pemdas rule in America

Look deeper n logically U will see it
Seen it but thats just a kind of assumption. What if the first two lines are irrelevant.

If 30 is the ans, the question is wack.

dats y Maths is logic...since there's no equal sign in d first 2 rows,it's a notable possibility to consider.
Re: Can You Solve This? by abbey621(m): 8:39pm On Apr 13, 2016
Everyone seems to think all 3 lines are related not knowing there's really just one equation and that's the third line. Once you realize this, it's easy to see the answer. It's not complicated grin grin grin

Re: Can You Solve This? by sampen(m): 8:40pm On Apr 13, 2016
The answer is 12 ( BODMAS).
Re: Can You Solve This? by joey150(m): 8:41pm On Apr 13, 2016
Tesley:
Let me teach you all some maths.
First,bodmas don't mean a thing here.
Next,know the power of zero...nothing.
Therefore, anything multiplied by nothing equals nothing.
Nothing plus something equals that something.

That said, all the quibbles calculated before the zero, once multiplied by nothing... Zero equals nothing... Zero.
That nothing...zero plus one...1 equals... One 1.
Blah + dish + higgi + billion + Nigeria's budget × zero = nothing...zero...0 + 1...
Equals 1.

The answer dead nairaland is 1.
see as u yeye yourself..
Just look atchew!!
Re: Can You Solve This? by dxdiag(m): 8:41pm On Apr 13, 2016
According to BODMAS
multiplication comes before addition
sort out 1*0 first,dt gvs us 0
1+1*0+1=
1+0+1=2

(1+1+1+1+1)=5
(1+1+1+1+1)=5
(1+1*0+1)=2
5 of 5 of 2 = 5*5*2=50
final answer is 50

or it will be

1+1+1+1+11+1+1+1+11+1*0+1=30

answer is either 50 or 30

It is not a must I see this kind of question before, it is logical. It is just like setting a question like this
1 1+1= what will you do with the first number, will you throw it away

Anything times zero is zero. 12x0=0 grin So add zero plus one equals one. grin

Simple rules of arithmetic. Always remember the laws and rules and you will never answer wrong unless its a concentration slip.

Yes Maths questions are clear and logical including trial and error quest. No examiner will set a question like this. This is just a clownish one
